@DaizerNationI was going to preorder to support DICE but after seeing the prices, I think I will pass. It is too expensive, at least for me.

Edit2: What I really meant to say is that the default price of the game is high IMO. So to pay even more for preorder...no.
I know I will most likely get a lot of hours’ fun from playing it, but that does not change how the default price is a quite big expense here and now, at least for me.
In fact I am tempted to wait for s few months to see if the price of BF2042 drops just like with BfV.
There are also too many potential deal-breakers, so I’d want to see the released game before deciding.
WEATHER
This is something that could make me simply quit a round.
I absolutely hate weather effects in BF1 and BFV, so this will likely be the same or worse, considering the scale and type of weather effects DICE is adding to BF2042.
COSMETICS
I can’t stand playing BFV anymore because of primarily two things, one of them being cosmetics, the other thing is movement (see below).
It absolutely kills my enjoyment of the game to see people running around with diffefent costumes.
Soldiers should look the same, period.
But I know this isn’t gonna happen anymore in future BFs apparently ☹️
MOVEMENT
DannyOnPc says in a Youtube video that it’s the same people working on movement in BF2042 as it was on BFV.
This tells me we will once again see utterly stupid ice skating from soldiers + possibly even more silly movement options.
For these reasons I want to see the final game before deciding, I think. Ihave BF1 and BF4 to play if BF2042 joins BFV as a game I don’t like. If so, I would prefer to having saved my money and not payed $$$$ for it.

Yeah but to be honest I am not completely worried about that.. this is a quick fix that they can do if it was impacting the game in a horrible way
They can lower the weather dynamics to show up maybe 20% of the time instead of 50% or so..
