@Brav🤭ne-PCI will go ahead and lay out the follow-on replies:
1. It was made clear upfront that the technical playtest, and any playtest for that matter, is not the finished product and has known bugs. Others will remind you of this as well.
2. The true cause for the delay is not known, however it can be inferred from the official message that some elements of the game are not where the team wants them to be.
3. Other players, forum moderators, and CMs will likely follow and reinforce the above as well as the fact that the playtest was not the latest build of the game.
Everyone is a bit disappointed in the delay, but adding more speculation is not helpful.
Lastly idk why people still have so much faith in EA or DICE for that matter time and time again posts like mine tried to warn the community and time and time again the community doesnt listen and we get games like BFV
- lzilchetl4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Brav🤭ne-PC What do you want the community to do after listening to you? Its like buying a house, you have no control, you either relax and go with the flow or walk away... either way it's not worth fretting over.

- Fringerunner4 years agoSeasoned Ace@SirBobdk They do in most countries i've lived in or visited the last 25 years too, just in a few it's "optional" to include them in relation to a purchase, read: "you'd be insane not to get an inspection done before signing anything" including the US.
In the US in particular you're hosed if you didn't get an inspection if you find a hidden fault after purchase and then try to go via insurance, it's a weird convoluted system that changes from state to state too.
Purchasing a house with the mentality "i have no control" sounds like a recipe for disaster in all cases by the way 🙂
Was also required by the bank in my last purchase which was in Norway, though i suspect the laws are fairly similar in the scandinavian countries.
The insurance you get is also a lot more comprehensive vs the usual homeowners insurance stateside, and somehow cheaper in the process. (and don't get me started on the co-pay difference)
- carsono3114 years agoSeasoned Ace@Brav🤭ne-PC Firstly, you have still not offered a valid reason / cause for the delay and you will not be able to, which is fine because only EA DICE know what the true holdup is.
Everyone knew the game was not finished as of the Technical Playtest... and that was the entire point.
As @lzilchetl mentioned, what would you have us do then? Just cancel all pre-orders? Consult you first for anything we do related to Battlefield 2042? This entire thread is ultimately pointless, because there is nothing new or insightful here. So let me know if that changes. - 4 years ago
They also have to deal with the frostbite source code being leaked dealing with cheaters (like we see in BFV and other titles) it is nice to see them working on issues and promoting a better game at launch. Sure it may be a couple more weeks but do we really want another battlefield 4 issue? also unsure if you noticed. BF2042 is now listed on epic game store (pc) which utilizes unreal engine games
