(This is from a discussion on Reddit we had about Dozer, initiated by me)..
Let's talk about Dozer...
OK, let's talk about this guy. I'm just going to list the things that irk me and my suggestions:
* He carries a Ballistic shield and clearly wears a ballistic suit - surely he should be the one who has armour plates as standard, not Irish/ formerly Angel?
* He is pretty useless unless in tight, confined spaces - shield up, his turn speed is slower, his movement speed is slower, generally an easy target. He is flanked very easily and obviously his little toes poke out making him vulnerable - give him more armour.
* When moving without his shield (I assume it is stowed on his back) - make him bullet proof from the back? He is still exposed front and side but he carries a gun in two hands.
* I play with FOV @ 105 but with shield up I still cannot see around the edges. This makes it really difficult to turn in time to react to a flank. I wouldn't like to think what it's like at a lower FOV! I appreciate that to M&K players this is less of a problem, but for those controller players it's a real detractor.
* Give him the ability to shoot with his pistol, shield up. That would definitely put the fear of God into people.

Please no
No one should be invulnerable to being flanked

He would still be shot from front and sides, just not from the back to the body.

Yes it's still a bad idea since you cannot control where an ennemy will be looking
You shouldn't punish people for something they literally cannot do anything about
It's wouldn't be fun to work for a flank get behind everyone and then get ***** because a Dozer is facing the other direction completly unaware that you are there
It's a terrible idea just like glancing blows on vehicles in BFV were a bad idea, it just adds the RNG of ''is the dozer facing the right way?'' and that's just frustrating to deal with while requiring absolutely nothing on the Dozer's end
