If im not mistaken, we had to pre order the physical copy of battlefield 5 and then on day one, pay for the upgrade, i think this is extremly disrespectful to the physical collectors cause we wont recieve any of the early benifits that the gold/ultimate get early on, but after all said and done we would be paying the same or more for that. These tactics really drive me to stop plagying ea tittles. As a serious bf vetren i have never been on the fence so much for a game.
This is also annoying given that next gen consoles are usless with there limited storage capasity my ssd on my ps4 pro has been such a headache.
- 4 years ago@4g631g I got myself an MX500 2TB for my PS4 Pro ages ago (during a sale period), not had issues since.
I'll be upgrading the base storage ASAP with the PS5, I can use the SSDs with my PC if I sell the consoles, so it's no loss.
OT I too am also miffed to the lack of Physical Copy with Pre-Order benefits. Got every physical copy of BF I've ever owned and would've been nice to have this one too...- Fringerunner4 years agoSeasoned Ace
It might be late, but if enough people ask they might do something similar to what FFXIV did for their latest expansion.
You can order the digital download version of the collectors edition, and then opt to pay a bit more separately to get the physical collectors edition items shipped to you after launch when they restock (including game media).
Was received well in that game, as it let people who normally wouldn't go for physical collectors editions "upgrade" without paying full price for a second game.
Again, a bit late for the reason to be "restock" with BF, but maybe something that could be added later for those who like box/collectors displays to include game media.
