I want to make a Domination Server like from BF1--but how?
I want TDM size maps, with 3 objectives...
32 Player rounds (16v16) or 8 man rounds: 4v4 for competitive play.
Objective A, Objective B, and Objective C <-- How do I make these on a TDM map?
Almost everything is contingent on this, specifically on the maps made for TDM...
All other map styles are too big for such fast paced gameplay...
I attempted to look at the logic for a Conquest round, but you cannot see it... anyways here's what it would need
Rules:
1) Each team starts with 200 tickets.
2) If a player respawns, he bleeds 1 ticket from his team's total..
3) If a team controls all objectives:
-Spawns for controlling team are selectable between the 3 objectives or squad spawns are possible.
-Spawns for the team with no objectives are random between the three objectives, or squad spawns are possible.
-Also... The team that holds no objectives, while all three objectives are actively held and none are neutral, bleeds 1 ticket per second,
4) If a team holds 2 objectives:
-Their spawns are selectable between the two or squad spawns are possible.
-Prevents ticket bleed of squad that controls majority objectives, except due to respawns.
-Also... causes opposing team to bleed 1 ticker per 5 seconds.
5) If a team holds 1 objective:
-Their spawns will be at that objective, or squad spawns are possible.
6) First to deplete the opposing team's tickets wins... Say like 150-200 tickets?
7) The objectives should be evenly spaced, in the formation of a triangle on the map... locations for objectives aren't super important but specific placement with visual indicators would be grossly beneficial for both attacking and defending teams and if specific placement is impossible perhaps randomization here would kind of be interesting but should be spaced sufficiently apart so that one cannot interfere with the capturing of another... none of this should seem dissimilar to conquest... because Dom in BF1 was ultra fast-paced, infantry focused conquest... essentially... with spawns that were substantially better for competitive play rather than using single deployment locations like in Squad Conquest in BFV... Prevents spawn camping... and Dom in BFV was too spread apart... so was their Squad Conquest really...
Anyone think this can be done?
