I've seen in chat on a few occasions where losses have been blamed on the number of console players on a team. It seems, to some, that the fewer console players on a team, the better chance a team has of winning.
Putting all my cards on the table, I'll state this--I'm a PS5 console owner that wishes I had not purchased this game.
That having been said, what happens when a team with a majority of PC players looks at the scoreboard and decides that console players are the ones that held the team back? Would the object be to bounce console players off of teams/squads whenever possible?
Actually, the question is rhetorical--I know for sure it would happen.
It's just a matter of how often.
- VOLBANKER_PC3 years agoSeasoned Ace@imptown You can’t equate console player with poorly performing player and pc player with good performing player.
That’s not how things work in reality.
Yes, there is a difference in input method - mouse and keyboard vs. controller - but that alone does not account for who will be at the top of the team and who will be at the bottom.
There is also experience, game awareness, how cunning you are as a player, how well you are able to use the terrain etc.- imptown3 years agoNew Vanguard
@VOLBANKER_PC Your logic makes sense, but does not take into account who you're dealing with.
That who deals with every player, be he/she logical or illogical. As just one example, the who refers to those using chat to curse other players or to call them out in what many would consider an irrational manner.
Reality tells me that decisions would be made by some just as I described it, just as I have seen in chat.
Again, it's not a matter of whether it would be done, just a matter of how often.

Different topic really but my two cents is that cross-play should be binned for the next Battlefield, it doesn't help anyone and creates another level of PC vs Console toxicity. PC players (mostly) have a completely different play style to console players. Would love to see a return of PC only version (and a Console version) with players separated onto each plaftorm, with the return of proper clan servers where you can control how much CPU / Memory you want to prevent these performance issues we are seeing with desync, lag and rubber banding.
