@ragnarok013I think many people don't like it to open more than one launcher to playing a game, also you could get BF2042 much cheaper on origin itself and thru key sellers than on steam. So, I think there is a valid argument that Steam beside Epic are the smallest portion here.@CountSerosome yes, but it's the Origin thin client so it's not as resource intensive as the full Origin clients and many other AAA companies also mandate their launchers too like Ubisoft, Rockstar and so on so it's not a deal breaker for most Steam users. Steam still dwarfs those other companies sales to the point where Ubisoft doesn't even sell the latest AC on Steam to get more money because most people still bought AC on Steam.
Meh it's pretty sillly to think STeam suddenly broke the old habits of most BF pc players.
People are creatures of habit. And if they played BF the last ~10 years they went through EA/Origin. Day after day. Month after month. Year after year. And all their BF buds were developed through EA/Origin. Their old BF games are on Origin. And the game still launches Origin anyway. Plus you have to factor in how many even know 2042 is on STeam after being trained for so long to expect it only on Origin.
So I would definitely expect the vast majority of BF players to still be using Origin.
AC doesn't have that same tight history with UPlay. And was never even a big pc game. It's a console game first and foremost. IT's also a single player game.

@trip1exSteam has wallet, it's easier to buy games. I.e like I did, I sold bunch of csgo knives to buy games. And there are probably hundreds of thousands like me doing that. Not to mention, people gamble. Just an example, not saying all doing that. Pretty sure steam has more users than origin. You had money on Steam and bought the game there not a good argument for why more bought on Steam.
