It's always sad to hear of more players leaving the BF series, how did it end up in this terrible state so quickly. 😕
I fully concur with all your reasons, sadly BF2042 is simply not fun to play.
Mainly because of the direction taken and also because there are way too many essential elements missing that made previous BF's great.
We are not able to play the game the way we choose and are therefore being forced to play maps / modes that we don't want to play, and conversely unable to play those that we like.
It's a shame really, BF has been my go to FPS game for so long so I hate to see its downfall.
The social / community aspect was always one of the main attractions for me and I am sure many others, but that sadly is currently lacking in BF2042.
I stopped after season 2 dropped to many issues. I came a few days ago after the newest update. Hoping it be better. Game is better now then when it was first released. But almost a year after it still has game breaking issues that the devs have yet to fix. I understand it takes awhile but almost a year
That’s unacceptable. Hitreg still an issue All tho I’ll say it has been better. Mouse input better but still needs work/. Let’s not talk about MM lol. Same two or three maps in one day is just flat out sad.and ONLY TWO NEW MAPS?! That is embarrassing. Playing the same map more that once in a row should not happen in a AAA game. I play free to play games that have better rotation than this. I don’t have the enthusiasm to play. I might get on if I can play a few matches and that’s it if I’m bored. With it now being gaming season there are plenty of other new games that offer more and free ones that are not broken as 2042.Dice/Ea failed.
Besides the game breaking bugs, the thing for me that makes it so boring is the wait time between matches. Once a match ends, you'll wait up to 5 minutes to get into another match and then it's the same map you just played. There are maps that I haven't played in eons. I have to keep going and looking up the maps for 2042 because I NEVER PLAY THEM. And then, despite all of the yelling and screaming in the forums, they decide to remove the most popular modes and FORCE you to play two maps with 128 players. That's a good portion of the boredom for me, the lack of a true map rotation. If you play for 2 hours, you shouldn't play the same map twice, unless you want to!!! I played for two hours the other day on a supposed random play list, but played the same two maps over and over.
