I can't say I noticed anything different after the weekend playing in the tanks a few times.
I do feel like my tracks aren't getting disabled on the first hit now. It didn't happen every time before, but it was pretty frequent. I think giving the tracks more health was a great idea. Other than that, I haven't noticed anything really different.
The new map reworks are a bit cluttered for us Tank folk though. There needed to be maybe 5-10% more cover for infantry on some of the maps, but it feels like they went a little overboard. Most people seem to think the new maps are far better than before, so I'm probably the minority on that one. I've actually liked all the maps from the beginning. I thought that Hourglass was the only map that really needed a rework.
How's it going on your end?
@RaginSamI rarely get my tracks disabled for some reason so I really didn't notice any difference.
Well I'm new to 128 player maps and now have some experience with them and so far I'm having a pretty good tank experience on the 3 maps in the 24/7 playlist.
There are certain areas I just will not drive to on all 3 maps, far too high risk and random
I generally patrol areas with good escape points and good lines of sight and all 3 maps have those areas apart from US Renewal which is just far too open for my liking. I just troll the choppers with the Wildcat instead!
I think adding the infantry cover is a good move but a little jarring at first when in a tank.
One positive point about tanking in 2042 and an indirect positive for MM is that you can get hammered in a round by air and anti vehicle attacks and then the next round you are matched in to can work out entirely differently.
normally the jets would destroy the helis, unfortunately the vehicle vs vehicle gameplay is a legacy feature.
I wonder for 1 year why the jet does not get its own category.
