In the absence of a BF2042 Roadmap what are the most important questions that you personally would like answers to.The lack of information surrounding BF2042 has caused a lot of frustration which could be greatly reduced if we received answers to questions which are important to us and to the future of the game.I will list my own, they are not necessarily in order of importance but I think they are all questions we need answers to.1. When can we expect the May Update.? (with only a few weeks left in the month there should be a pretty firm date pencilled in for this)2. When will we get the Season 1 update.? (we have only been quoted early summer which is very vague so would like a more meaningful date)3. How many maps can we expect in Season 1.? (I feel we need a minimum of 4 maps to freshen up the game)4. Will BF2042 be getting a Server Browser / Persistent Servers / Rental Servers, if so when ? and if not why ?5. What is BF2042's shelf life, how long will it receive support. (I read recently that the next BF would be released in 2024)And please keep it constructive / civil, I genuinely would love to hear peoples honest viewpoints on this and maybe it will help send a detailed message to DICE of what's important to the community, thanks.NOTE : If any CM's / DICE team members read this thread please feel free to chip in with any info / updates that would help the community.

@RayD_O1 I truly would like to hear a weekly update on what’s happening. It doesn’t have to be major or specific in details. Just a simple hey this week we got more done in our roadmap that will be out when we have completed it. Just something to keep those who are on the fence of leaving a reason to stay.

They are not going to say anything about this game because everything will be receive more bad press on how bad the state of the game is. @RayD_O1 I truly would like to hear a weekly update on what’s happening. It doesn’t have to be major or specific in details. Just a simple hey this week we got more done in our roadmap that will be out when we have completed it. Just something to keep those who are on the fence of leaving a reason to stay.

Yes I totally agree, regular updates would work well and as you rightly say it would help players who are struggling with the games problems to have some hope that these things are being worked on.

My predictions...

EA Survey: Share Your Thoughts on Battlefield 2042 - Answer HQ
I am hoping that the new EA Survey (see above thread) is maybe a positive sign that BF2042 may not be abandoned and maybe even get reworked, we can only hope so.

I have no idea where that hope comes from @RayD_O1 only consistent thing they have done so far is gather the community's feedback, pat us on the head and then do whatever the hell they want anyway.

@edgecrusherO0I think they very well know their timeline and what changes they will make to the game.

But they will not communicate this, because they know that it will not satisfy the community.

Dice never makes fundamental changes to their games and they will not do that for 2042 either (like removal of specialists, removal of 128 player modes, etc etc).

Dice also already know that the upcoming content will disappoint, because it will probably not be much better than the existing content (new maps will still be large and barren) and part of the new content is new specialists, which the community in general doesn't want anyway.

They will not give the community what they want, but instead continue developing a game nobody wants to play.

How long has it been since the first feedback loop on a single subject (maps) and how many fixes have been implemented?
If anything in the survey is used for BF2042 improvements, I can't imagine any of it being implemented in the next 6 months.

I am well aware of how long it has been since the first feedback loop and I wasn't impressed in any way by the way it was conceived / handled.
I would have much preferred a 2 way form of REGULAR communication which is what I had thought the whole feedback loop would have given us not a one way questionnaire with no follow up to date.
I stand by my above comment, imho why would DICE even bother with the survey at this stage if they aren't planning to take any action like you say.
They have nothing left to gain now by playing silly games with the community, they no longer care about earning a few brownie points anymore as it is apparent that the community pretty much has given up on BF2042.
The only course of action left to turn this game round is to TAKE ACTION and only time will tell if this happens.
I personally hope they do turn it around not just for this game but for the future of the BF franchise going forward.
