In game voice chat
What's all the crying about in game voice chat? I've played battlefield for over 12 years and I can literally count on 1 hand the amount of times randoms have used in game VoIP. Discord is still a t...
I don't mind if there is VOIP or not, the only mode that i think it is important is Hazard Zone.
I live in Germany and I also haven’t used in game VOIP since BF3 😉
33% of the time I mute it because here in EU not all speaking English or my mother tongue
33% of the time I mute it because I don't listen to random music
33% of the time I mute it because of stupid nonsense, insulting and shouting/crying people...
1% of the time I mute it because I don't want to speak with random people
I prefer TeamSpeak or Discord when I play with friends, but around 99% have quitted BF since after BF3 so no need for voice in BF for me again.
I would prefer when they optimize the CommRose and include parts that you can send to all (like GL &HF or GG)
See you on the Battlefield
its not about needing it or not its the LAW they have to follow that
What is the Law? In not aware of any law
i am not goin to repost just read my first post on this thread
@Tosshjr the law that @Seeker-V1 has posted before CVAA.
This is an US American law that any modern way of communication need\must be accessible for people with disabilities. This laws also influence every game which will be released in the US.
I think this law is active since 1st January 2019, so every game which was in development after this date need to implement such features. Games that where already in development should consider to implement it in relation to cost and time.
Generally, this is a good thing and the gaming industries has done already big steps in this direction.
And BF2042 has already many things in the game like subtitles and subtitles size, menu narration, Chat to speech, huge options for colourblind people, additional uses of controls like klick or hold to revive for example. The only thing that is missing is voice to text or VoIP.
But EA/DICE already have stated to implement VoIP later on.
The delay could have different reasons like problem between the different platforms PS5, xBox Series S/X and PC or make it accessible as required.
As long I can turn it off when it comes than I don’t mind it.
I don’t know if such a law exists here in Germany or in the EU. I only heard about this law in somewhat last year.
