It's dead

I basically don’t play it.
was expecting a great updated battlefield game.
instead I got an interpretation of battlefield seemingly desined by a stuck up, pencil pushing, arrogant, scheming, narcissistic rip off merchant that used the Battlefiled franchise as a way to make them selves feel important and special but actually just straight up ruined a working formula
that’s how I feel about this game, that I got ripped off on.
im waiting for the updates, that may or may not change my current very very negative opinion of this game. And I will change my opinion if they remedy some of the worst offending design decisions, such as the atrocious match making implememtion, server browser, hardcore servers and (not going to hold my breath) scoreboard.
they should be working on new maps, new scenarios, new content, which they may mistakenly think is going to fix the travesty this game is, but they really should be just fixing the bloody basics
People go on about how bad previous BF were and they took a year too fix. But that is not an excuse for this, this, whatever the hell this is supposed to be. They sold out. They think they know better, and are not going to listen, possibly the worst kind of management direction you can ever have in a company.
I don’t have a problem with trying something new, but when you sell it as something old, then you get my anger, and my contempt for you.
I will never ever buy a game In pre-release ever again. And I will only ever buy games in the sale in the future. They basically lied, changed the formula and sold us a cheap BF knock off.
I am pissed.

Spot on mate, the game is atrocious! I kept playing and forcing myself to enjoy it and just came away disillusioned all the time. I said to myself it's ok because I'll have Portal to fall back onto and look at the state of that now.
Last time I fall for the pre-order bollx.

Man you got it right! It is not a Battlefield game! It lacks so much that made BF games great no matter how may bugs they had at launch. That's NOT the issue. Bugs get fixed. Game design IS the issue.
- 4 years ago@FlibberMeister Everything you said is the sad truth.
Unfortunately people will ALWAYS be sucked in.
Maybe not you. Maybe not me anymore.
But there will always ALWAYS be someone new to suck in or someone old that thinks “this time it’ll be different” or more likely “I’ve gotta be the first on the game and get ahead of everyone else”.
So ea will always get their pre-orders.
They’ll always push out a half arsed, broken game and we’ll always be having this conversation.
The only way we can change anything is with our wallets.
But that will never happen because everyone has this crippling fear of missing out.
So everyone buys and preorders the instant they can which just encourages these game companies to do whatever they want…
I can guarantee if there was a car or….. ANYTHING released as broken as games are these days there would be a full product recall and that company would be facing serious problems.
But us gamers seem to just wear it with a smile and ask for more 🤷♂️

@G-Recons "Never had any issue with any of the previous titles."? Did you play BF4 at launch?
- 4 years ago@Chief2GFD yup there was content worth the wait for the server issue but here you're waiting for what exactly? A new thong for Sundance?
- Chief2GFD4 years agoSeasoned Ace
@G-Recons Well, leaks have said at least 1 new map, new weapons and vehicles, cosmetics and such. Now, do I think that given the state of things, should EA/Dice maybe put out some official info on what is coming in Season 1? Absolutely. But to act like there is nothing new coming is kind of silly. And if you played BF4 you know just how bad the game was at launch. It was damn near unplayable.
