Irish APS-36 Sentinel - needs a little nerf

That sentinel - perhaps a little too overpowered. It takes everything - no matter the rate - no matter what type of grenade - even smoke which I would not call an explosive nade.

How about some cool down time ? And of course if you set 2 you have more - but I dont like this 100 % working stuff in this game. Just like flares - launch and you are home safe.

Even EMP is taken by the APS - so only way to take it out is bullets and perhaps Rao hack ?

  • @Col_Larsen Good idea but if this happens the amount of explosives will be severely overwhelming. They should leave it alone. It's fine the way it is now.

    @xVulture just dont agree on the smoke nade part - smoke nade is NOT explosive ! I also agree we do not want Metro again but right now it is extremely effective. Sad that not all knows about it or know how to switch to it !

    @ElliotLH ahhh thank you so much - did not know how exactly it worked. I just nade spammed into smoke but while active it just kills them all. So active then 5 seconds and after that 7.5 seconds inactive - so one nade then wait and then spam nades in. Of course they could have 2-3 of those sentinels - but it all makes sense !

    @Col_Larsen Being totally honest, I forgot they'd changed anything until your thread reminded me. Over saturation could definitely be an issue if they're all working off of different cooldowns.

    I also forgot to mention that I think it'd be interesting if they didn't intercept smoke grenades. It'd give us another tactic to deal with them, by smoking and rushing.
  • Good Lord can we stop nerfing every single thing in the game? Irish is already useless compared to what he was. There's not one gun in the game that's fun to use anymore. Nightbird is constantly getting *. * insane. It's almost at the point players are asking DICE to uninstall for them.

    @Agent10_Alex and if you read it all - you would know that I learned how the sentinel now works - was not aware of the 5 seconds active and 7.5 seconds inactive thing - my bad - so agree - lets leave it as is !
    Totally agree on the littlebird - they will NEVER fix this and the stupid flares since dice got a thing for choppers - ever since BF Vietnam and the flying titanium choppers that could take 2 rpgs before goingg down !

    Also, EMP grenades take them out.
