Until now I blamed my C5 deaths always on weird C5 angles and coped pretty hard on thatbut with the new BT Layout in Exposure it becomes empirical clear that the C5 infact does NOT get destroyed instantly, there is like 3 seconds before the sentinel registers the C5 and destroys it.C1 on exposure BT is almost impossible to capture, only 3 ways inside and all 3 ways are tiny chokepoints where every idiot and his mother spams explosives for super cheap, non-skilled kills.why was the sentinel nerfed against c5 ?why ?why ?Talk to me, i am REALLY interested in the reasoning behind this.what is the logic behind it ?was it becouse scrubs who can’t aim complained about why they can’t kill anyone with theyr noob package arround corners ?was it becouse 2 well placed sentinels made an vehicle c5 immune ?why ?

@ElliotLHThats C1 for youThe 3 entrances are perfekt for the defenders to throw c5 through the doors and kill everyone who may approach.Even with dozer it is almost impossible to push through this explosive and bullet hellhole.It’s like metro with one hallway and no other routes.The attacking side on this map can only win currently, if they spam more c5 than the defending team.The next problem is the spawn on the defending team, it is so close to the base that they almost spawn on the objective even though it is contestet, making reinforcements very fast for the defending team.In one game I was tired of getting killed when trying to approach and just put my 2sentinels near to the entrances and camped and acted as spawnpoint for my squad mates.The game endet with us losing, I destroyed 371 explosives with my sentinel, thats almost 5 mastery levels for the specialist

@Anobix Now that you mention it: i too saw some scatters where simply ignored but it was not that big of a deal since it happens rarely, atleast to me.The same goes to the ATG missiles from air vehicles, sometimes the sentinel just ignores them and they fly straight trough.Also the sentinel doesnt destroy the bombs from the stealth heli anymore, i even placed 2 sentinels right next to each other and the bombs just fly through it and killed the entire frontline.It is annoying as hell if you die becouse of that.But still, my bigger issue is with the delayed C5 destruction from my sentinel.It makes attacking or holding choke points useless.

@BolvardFor all we know it might not even be an intentional change.Thanks for bringing it up though. I was wondering how that C5 reached my tank in spite of the sentinel next to them.The sentinel used to work so well that enemy sentinels could even clean up the C5 I had placed on my quad on the way to the tank

@UP_HawxxeyeThe way the sentinel behave suggest otherwise, especially against c5This was 100% intentional, the same goes for the bombs from stealth heli.Before the patch one sentinel could clean up all incoming bombs from the stealth heli, now it doesn’t even register them, making the sentinel completely worthless in protecting your teammates from explosives becouse it gets killed by the splash damage from the stealth bombs.

@SpudBug it made maps with indoor sections playable, Exposure and strandet and parts of other maps are literally unplayable right now since everyone spams c5 again like before the buffExposure breakthrough c1 and kaleidoscope c2 and the whole strandet map is literally impossible to attack when defenders stack up and spam theyr c5 at entrances.By the way, the counter to the sentinel are bullets and/or the emp grenade, the emp radius outranges the sentinel.

@Bolvard there was one case of someone putting C5 on my MAV yesterday and the sentinel I had next to it eliminated the C5 instantly though

@Bolvard Had a similar game the other night. That point in next to the tunnel on the final sector really is something.

Wonderful and Fun Game yesterday
each team spamed c5 at the entrances to c1 on exposure BT
i just sit outside and went exploring the after a while, there is literally nothing you can contribute as Irish here.
your sentinel gets instantly destroyed by splash damage from the c5 spam, making it pointless anyway to even try to place one.

I had a frag grenade fly right over my sentinel yesterday, killed me and blew up the sentinel.

@DaMutha1 That may caused by emp‘ing the sentinel by drone or emp grenade.

But you are right, I too had many situations where frag and scatters just detonate next to the sentinel.
