Team auto balance is a must. I have had to quit every game but 2 because losing is not fun nor my thing

yea i noticed that the other night. you talked a bunch of smack in text chat then bailed on the game after you lost your helo. not hard to have a good W/L record when you quit any game that you can't ride on coat tails to win

Which Battlefield game was it where there were random people (not clans or groups of friends) on servers all playing the classes correctly? This has never happened.
- 3 years ago@Psubond I don’t care if I die in a vehicle it’s I care about winning I can be top of the board but no point if losing so I’d rather quit then be loser

@Skill4Reel The class system was never that, people didn't purposely join games and play 'classes' and did the 'teamwork' but everything was designed around the idea that if you were to embrace the system it could make you a better player and had a certain satisfaction level. It used to be that if you were to attack helo and you were solo vs a attack helo of 2 GG you are most likely losing that.
But they designed so much in 2042 that you can ignore all that and still be nearly as effective it really doesn't matter anymore how you play. I like Zain, I was always a fan of the airburst in 2142 but Zain atm has a auto heal after killing someone, you get 1🏈 med pens, you can have C5 and you have a 'grenade' launcher.... it's just too much same with how many other specialists are designed.
Hell they are even supposedly buffing the health regen after taking damage instead of just adding back the system where you can resupply health/ammo from support classes by pressing a button near them..... elegant system. These things are the 'class' system and 'teamplay' elements that are enough to make it a Battlefield game imo, but it has to be the core of every design decision they make.
Just see it as the 'class' system and 'teamplay' as an subconscious thing about the game not something everyone HAS to consciously be aware of. If designed well it happens organicly.
Atleast in my years of Battlefield is what I feel the Battlefield DNA is about.

i'd rather lose than be a habitual quitter. no honor in quitting and that makes the victories you do get empty and meaningless

Didn't quitting a match after a certain amount of time count as a loss?
If not, it should i.e., if you play 5 minutes in a round and then quit it should go down as a loss.

@FaTaL_DReaMS1Sure I would love to win too but when, for example, you have 32 players on your team in BT and only 4 of those players including me are on the flag trying to keep it from being capped what are the other 28 players doing to help you win? But I am there till the end whether I lose or win. And the most frustrating part about BF is no one plays the objective anymore!
- 3 years ago@NazT55 I don’t get how hard is it to understand cap and hold YOUR BASE FLAG NOT THERES and one or two other flags, depending on the map, and just make a fire line there is. NO need to be on the enemies base flags

Another thing I do actually miss in Battlefield is special things, controlling a full aircraft carrier, big weapon installement, mortars, weapons of mass destruction... special things, things when you see them you just wanna run to them and control or interact with them. For anyone that is that old, remember how you had to place a spawn beacon back in Battlefield vietnam, you had to pick it up under a helicopter fly and land it somewhere..... Or take ages to dig a tunnel entrance.... oooe the spiked log traps you could crush whole squads with.
I understand we will never see a controllable aircraft carrier and I wouldn't even want to tbh, would just be a gimmick to bring that back and many of those things that used to work don't work anymore in video games. But it's the idea there are some cool features, some special things to figure out and try out. Hell who doesn't instantly run to that cool vehicle, cannon or what not in the hope it's controllable or interactable in some way. Instead we get doors we can open or close with a button or bridges which can open which havent been touched since the first week of the game. I remember the bollards from the Rao video, honestly I bet it's just put in the game just for that marketing video nothing else.
Think Battlefield 1 did it pretty well and actually made it part of the core design and Battlefield 5 in some ways with the squad unlocks. But with 2042 they sorta still did it with the massive amount of dadgets and specialist perks but it's so widespread that's it's a watered down version and it loses all the fun and excitement.
Just imagine if the grapple hook, wingsuits or NTW where pickups.... much better design imo and in turn those things could be even more powerful and fun. You can't balance something when there could potentially be 128 players using the same thing, hence the watered down experience.
- 3 years ago@Psubond I don’t need a team to carry me but I’m not sticking around if there is no chance to win because my team is either idiots or all low rank. I have ZERO fun losing no matter how good or bad I do
- 3 years ago@NazT55 Exactly my point no one PTFO no one cares about winning. That’s a HUGE problem

@FaTaL_DReaMS1Why choose, be both a quitter and loser. You claim to want teamplay but vote for classes which prevent that. You place winning above all else which just tells me these 'suggestions' are nothing more than demands for easy mode.
I won more when classes didn't exist. Now they're added and you lose. I'm gonna go ahead and say classes gotta go. I mean you practically just admitted that the big nerf forced people to avoid the objective and their 'role'. Nobody wanted those restrictions. - 3 years ago@DPsx7 Again then call it anything but a BF game

Bizarre, I'm the exact opposite. A well fought game is a good game, win or lose.
Whilst there are things missing that I would like to see and some things that I wish could be removed, this is, in essence, a Battlefield game. Indeed, I could apply this thinking to all previous iterations to some degree or other.
