@PsubondI don’t care if I die in a vehicle it’s I care about winning I can be top of the board but no point if losing so I’d rather quit then be loser
if you don't care about vehicles why did you spend so much time camping the spawn screen for a wildcat and as soon as someone grabbed it you quit? i saw you quit out of at least 3 games the other night (i was glad you were gone given how you were spamming text chat), that tells me that your win/loss record has no meaning and you quit if you aren't on a team that drags you across the line and does the work for you.
i'd rather lose than be a habitual quitter. no honor in quitting and that makes the victories you do get empty and meaningless

Didn't quitting a match after a certain amount of time count as a loss?
If not, it should i.e., if you play 5 minutes in a round and then quit it should go down as a loss.

Another thing I do actually miss in Battlefield is special things, controlling a full aircraft carrier, big weapon installement, mortars, weapons of mass destruction... special things, things when you see them you just wanna run to them and control or interact with them. For anyone that is that old, remember how you had to place a spawn beacon back in Battlefield vietnam, you had to pick it up under a helicopter fly and land it somewhere..... Or take ages to dig a tunnel entrance.... oooe the spiked log traps you could crush whole squads with.
I understand we will never see a controllable aircraft carrier and I wouldn't even want to tbh, would just be a gimmick to bring that back and many of those things that used to work don't work anymore in video games. But it's the idea there are some cool features, some special things to figure out and try out. Hell who doesn't instantly run to that cool vehicle, cannon or what not in the hope it's controllable or interactable in some way. Instead we get doors we can open or close with a button or bridges which can open which havent been touched since the first week of the game. I remember the bollards from the Rao video, honestly I bet it's just put in the game just for that marketing video nothing else.
Think Battlefield 1 did it pretty well and actually made it part of the core design and Battlefield 5 in some ways with the squad unlocks. But with 2042 they sorta still did it with the massive amount of dadgets and specialist perks but it's so widespread that's it's a watered down version and it loses all the fun and excitement.
Just imagine if the grapple hook, wingsuits or NTW where pickups.... much better design imo and in turn those things could be even more powerful and fun. You can't balance something when there could potentially be 128 players using the same thing, hence the watered down experience.
- 3 years ago@Psubond I don’t need a team to carry me but I’m not sticking around if there is no chance to win because my team is either idiots or all low rank. I have ZERO fun losing no matter how good or bad I do

Bizarre, I'm the exact opposite. A well fought game is a good game, win or lose.
Whilst there are things missing that I would like to see and some things that I wish could be removed, this is, in essence, a Battlefield game. Indeed, I could apply this thinking to all previous iterations to some degree or other.
