Is it ever going to be a real BATTLEFIELD game

@FaTaL_DReaMS1 I think most of us agree it could be BF again if we get rid of the classes nerf. They gave that out for the beginners and it took too much out of the game.

@DPsx7 They have to bring back class weapon restrictions and change a lot around

BF until we're left throwing sticks at each other, all holding hands because everyone needs a turn and a participation trophy. It was BF before the great nerf.

BF means all weapons, lone wolves, epic plays. We create our own balance instead of telling the devs to nerf things until they're useless. Basically everything that's been changed in the last month or two has been wrong. Numbers are dropping.

@FaTaL_DReaMS1 Maybe when they ditch 128 players. idk. There's so much about this game that is just off. Then I go back and play Battlefield 4 or Battlefield 1 and realize "ok yeah this is what Battlefield should feel like".

its not even the future setting. Battelfield 2142 was miles better than this game...not even close. And yes it had class weapon restrictions. Most Battlefield games have some sort of class weapon restriction, with the original PC titles having strict class weapon restrictions.

There's other things those games did that has been lost in the Frostbite era, but squad play was definitely stronger in the PC Battlefield games. It sort of got off rails in large part because DICE couldn't even get mics to work right in Bad Company often, not to mention terrible squad implementation.

Here we are in 2042 and the squad play is still way behind the early games.

Although I will say, I get revived a lot more in 2042 than in BF4, so the medics are at least doing their job.
