@Ironhead841I haven’t been playing much lately, but I did notice it while going down a hill. These types of animations and mechanics aren’t needed. It just makes the game feel worse and clunky.
Most games have some sort of landing accuracy penalty, with a slight stumble animation, but the ways it’s done here in 2042 is overkill.
I keep finding more things that I don’t like about this last patch. It’s so disappointing because right before the update I was having the best time with the game since it’s release.

Pretty sure this is a bug triggered somehow after a parachute landing. That's the only time I have noticed it
It's like the parachute landing effect gets stuck on replay.
- RaginSam3 years agoSeasoned Ace@AngrySquid270 It could be a bug, but they did add more weight to the characters and made some changes to animations. This was in the patch notes:
“Added brand new physical landing animations when jumping or falling, different animations should now play when hitting the ground from different fall heights - don’t go too high, you may splat.” - Ironhead8413 years agoHero
It's not just when parachuting/falling though, it happens even while running on relatively flat terrain.

Yup, same experience here. I experience it when running, but only after having had a parachute landing prior.
No prior parachute landings, no stumbles.
