@Trokey66 "With you on this, expecting teamplay in the Beta then projecting that forward is a bit silly really."
Why is it silly? The problems are integral to the new specialist system, polishing the game and getting it out of beta isn't going to resolve that at all.
@UnCazualGamerIt is silly for the very reasons I stated!
Expecting people to play the Beta as a full game is rediculous as they are to involved in trying out all the new shiny stuff.
I play a hell of a lot of Support and throw ammo out left, right and centre and there is currently no reason why that won't continue in BF2042.
During the Beta however, of course I tried out the Stiglas and Rockets, dabbled with health and drones and even spent time flying helicopters.
Why?
Because it was all new and I wanted to see what is what.
It will be exactly the same when the game first launches, people will mess about a bit learning the maps and figuring out what works for them but as things settle down, ammo and health will appear.
NOTE: If there is no teamwork such as ammo, how are people going to abuse rockets?

I am judging the specialist system and its pitfalls, that has nothing to do with beta vs full game, nothing ridiculous at all. The specialist system ruins teamplay, that's not going to be magically resolved once the game is out of beta. You would have to replace the specialist system with a traditional class one, only way.
"I play a hell of a lot of Support and throw ammo out left, right and centre and there is currently no reason why that won't continue in BF2042."
But there is a reason most people won't its because there is better stuff than ammo and med kits to swap for, and you don't know who has what anymore, its a disaster.

No ammo and health won't magically appear. There is no incentive to choose those over rockets and other gear, that's why the class system was important as it made for dedicated roles. Total freedom does not and will not equate to team play, it leads to solo meta soldiers.
Now you can be a self ammo supplying sniper, where is the team play in that?

I mean that people choose rockets over other things, we already saw that.
- 4 years ago@UnCazualGamer So.. if we are no longer talking about lack of team play in beta as ‘proof’ of how it will be, that is good. Then we are left with opinions, predictions and speculation. Ok.
You are saying that because there are ‘better’ options, players will not select meds and ammo crates. Wasn’t this also true before? Depending on version, some classes was ‘better’ than others yet the support classes was chosen despite this. I think you disregard that many players like to play the support roles. They are not after the kills. This was true before and I don’t see a reason why this would stop suddenly.
There are other mechanics more important to incentivize team play like the ribbon rewards, the score system, what will bring a player on the best squad screen, if that is still a thing. Stuff like that.
Some snipers will always snipe from afar. This has been seen in all bf installments. If they’re good, they help the team like the running and gunning assault player.
Bf for me is freedom to play a lot of different styles.. games even. I could play the sniper game, the tank game, the helicopter game, the run and gun close combat game.. all is in there thanks to the sandbox that bf is. I feel we now get an upgraded sandbox extending into the deploy menu.
The game modes rewards team play and if you want to do really good, you need a squad that cooperates. This was true before and still is. - 4 years ago

I was talking about the specialist system the whole time, and its inherent flaws, you really need to listen.
"You are saying that because there are ‘better’ options, players will not select meds and ammo crates. Wasn’t this also true before? Depending on version, some classes was ‘better’ than others yet the support classes was chosen despite this."
No it wasn't true before, you always had ammo box as a support, recon always had radio beacon, engineer always had repair tool, etc. This made for dedicated roles which are now gone. No class was "better" than another in BF3, they had different weapons and different gadgets for different purposes. You always had a good mix of the 4 types in the matches. In the Beta we saw too many running around as the grappling hook guy or granny.
"I think you disregard that many players like to play the support roles. They are not after the kills. This was true before and I don’t see a reason why this would stop suddenly."
That's not anyone witnessed in the 4 days of play, as even Battlefield vets stopped doing it because it made no sense to do so. Most people will go for the best build that they can, that is human nature, nobody cares in the abstract sense who wins a fictional battle. In BF3 and BF4 support roles were played indirectly, you threw down medkits and ammo boxes for the bonus points mostly, and because you had them on you at least much of the time. You are naïve to believe many people will forgo better options just to support their teammates with ammo and medkits, it's not going to happen.
People play games for their own enjoyment, not to win virtual battles, that's why the class system worked so well. It wasn't coordinated or strategic team play 95% of the time, but it was still teamplay of some type.

I think after todays trailers, we can 100% assume, that this game was built for Hazard Zone only.

@TickTack121 The specialist system is definitely better suited for that than conquest mode, where you can hardly tell friend from foe. Portal was tossed in to appeal to veteran fans. Tornados were tossed in for marketing. It's all a bunch of fluff really.

Wallhacks, super shields, reveal all enemies, what a train wreck! I already know the specialists everyone's going to pick, some are obvious choices over others. I guess the people who said wait for the full game to see can eat their words. With the new specialists revealed this is going to be the worst Battlefield entry bar none. If I was on the fence before now I am definitely not buying this game.
