Is there Counter knifing in 2042?

I don't remember exactly but I thought being knifed from the back you couldn't counter.  You could only knife counter someone knifing from the front right?

I don't remember it being a deal breaker for me either but if I remember it right above then I wouldn't worry to much about it.  What I hate is the bayonet charge!
