I think what bothers me the most here is that this game catered to no one. BF Vets got a big middle finger to them, while BR/ER players have several other games that do the genre and style of play miles better than BF 2042. If they truly are going to stick with this hero route for the future, I can't wait to get my popcorn ready and see how many more failures are to come with the franchise. There's zero space right now for another hero shooter and 2042 just proves it more. Classic case of trying to appeal to everyone which results in appealing to no one.
