Can we atleast play solo mode without ps plus just that fix.. please???
Hi @rebelinfantry97 I don't think that'd be possible since 2042 is an online-only game, same as how Live Gold is needed on Xbox to play it. I could be wrong, I'm not a PlayStation user after all, and hopefully if that's the case someone will correct me.

Well thank you for answering.. I just think we should not need ps plus for solo play atleast.. the reason so we won't have to deal with hackers online or tryhards... You know what I mean?
The game needs an online connection to play. That's no secret. There is no local play option as it's all done on their servers.
.....and what hackers / tryhards are you worried about with PS+ playing solo? You're playing solo.
I'm talking about online we have to deal with hackers and tryhards... Why can't we have solo mode without ps plus. Even though this is an online game. Just saying we can't we have offline mode for solo like we did in battlefront 2. You know what I'm saying?

I know this isn't a good answer, but it's just the way Dice decided to do things. It's in essence a multiplayer game with solo/co-op components.
Talk to Sony. Not sure how your complaint falls on EA/DICE.
Tell Sony you think their online services should be free like PC users enjoy. Good Luck.

.....but when you're playing solo, coop or even Portal on password protected servers, you don't have to deal with other random players. I don't see how a PS+ subscription has anything to do with that. It doesn't automatically expose you to hackers.
Online-only is becoming the norm in more games these days requiring a PS+ subscription to play. BF2042 is a game where progression is tied to all modes so whether you're playing by yourself or with others your unlock, ranks, etc. follow you. ....I won't get into the caps in solo/coop/Portal as they are still tweaking things but you can still progress and unlock items in some ways.
EA / DICE isn't going to relinquish that control. .....and ironically, it's this online requirement to play their game that is implemented (in no small part) to help mitigate hacking / cheating.
