@GLOCK_IN_DA_SOCK there is zero indication that Portal will have Seasons. All content will be available for you to set up and play permanently. There will be additional content added to the Portal tool box in the future.
Dice is in a bit of an odd position now though.
Curtail portal and it'll create quite a lot of fuss most likely, but based on this place at least, a not insignificant amount of people who plan on or have purchased the game are now looking at portal as the "real" game.
I'll still give the core game a fair whirl at launch, but like some, I'm also thinking portal (if it is anything near what they've teased) will be where I'll end up spending the majority of my time at this point.
And if after 6-12 months, portal is going strong but core/HZ isn't, then what?
I realize this argument can go both ways, but if core or HZ turns out to be the big winners then it answers itself.
Hopefully the answer will be "let the players pick what they like" rather than try to artificially funnel people towards any game mode.
