Javelin, SRAW for all core game mode. When? ?

SOFLAM just isn’t getting done not having the smart AT rockets like we see in BF4.

FYI if you’re not aware, the Javelin and SRAW AT rockets work in combination with SOFLAM in BF4 so that while the target is lazed, the Jav and SRAW are basically fire and forget. That’s versus BOTH land or air targets.

SOFLAM + SRAW or Javelin = much more reason to use SOFLAM for air and ground targets.

  • Hi,

    The recoiless M5 does it.

When a vehicle is targeted by SOFLAM it becomes a guided missile launcher.

    😉

@l_Grand_Vizir_lI’ve tried it several times. Doesn’t work as easily you’ve described. Maybe 1/10 times it’s worked for me. It’s sure as hell doesn’t work as reliably as it works in BF4.  I’ve pretty much given up trying in 2042 as it’s been a waste of time and ends up getting me sniped or taken out by omnipresent 50mm spam.

What do you mean by "doesn't work" ?

I'm not using it that much but it seems to work for me (before last patch didn't try since, it might be bugged).

The problem to lock on might be when flares are in the sky, it really disturb locking even when they are quite away from the target and seems to have gone when you're aiming because of the restricted sight while aiming.

The wire guided element of the sraw/at4 made it one of the best weapons in bf ever, skill based and ignored flares.

It's really the element 2042 is lacking to help balance air instead of just nerfing choppers, although they need to tweak the code a bit if they use what they added for the tow launchers in caspian border, those things are a cardboard-cutout-shadow of their former selves.

I am quite a big fan of the Javelin since even before BF games in Modern Warfare 1.

I wish it was a staple of any modern of future BF title, I just love the top down attack.

@l_Grand_Vizir_l I think he means it's not effective like the javelin, I loved using the javelin it does a much better job at defending against vehicles, and you would definitely not have condors floating above objectives taking while feeling almost indestructible.
