Joystick Support
I'm considering pre-ordering as I have for past Battlefield games but wanted to know more about any details regarding support for joysticks. I find flying with them is much better but support for the...

Yes I did that, and through trial and error finally found the issue.
I assumed that I still had to have DS4 windows active to make this work.
I simplified the equation, and turned that off completely and removed the DS4 from it all together.
XOutput and Hid Hide were all I needed.
I had all setting correct, and had nothing to do but tweak the controls after turning off DS4Windows.
Thanks.
I still can not get the Extreme 3d joystick to map controls inside BF. i've tried using hidhide & i have xoutput setup as well..
reviewing my setup here..
i am using the origin beta client to launch the game.
if i use hidhide i allow Applications:
hidhide & xoutput & also BF2042.exe
-what does pre-selected application is not found at the registered location mean?
Devices -
Controller XBOX One for windows -unchecked
Logitech Extreme 3D Pro (HID) - checked
Logitech Extreme 3D Pro (HID) - checked
Logitech Extreme 3D Pro (HID) - checked
checked is Filter-out disconnected
checked Gaming devices only
checked Enable device hiding
What exactly did you do under XOutput? i assume this may be where mine is going sideways.. the mapping here is supposed to map controls in the game?
Using custom profiles i am still not able to change any controls within BF2042??
Maybe somebody has a screenshot of XOutput's config & what it should look like?
EDIT:
When i go to add a new gaming device in XOutput my Extreme 3D is not able to map axis and buttons into xoutput... almost like it does not see the joystick even though it's not hid by hidhide! this may be my issue....
so annoying!
@delectiYou can't set BF2042.exe to the allowed applications. Then the game will see the Logitech Joystick. Only HidHide and XOutput should be in the list. That way the game can only see the emulated Xbox controller.
Well, as much as i really wanted this game to be a success it's a hot garbage pile. EA and co. really ruined a great game franchise build from PC GAMERS.
i don't care what lame reasons are noted, it's an epic fail all around.
CoD is quickly catching up on the few features that made BF unique / fun. and CoD has real developers who can actually make updates to their game.
It's a joke... and the last time i use any EA product.
*nice job w/ HidHide and XOutput.. maybe EA should hire those developers. they may actually get something done.
