Joystick Support

Has anyone with the steam edition tried this. (Found on reddit)

Use Steam edition of BF2042 for joysticks to function, with a specific setting: Steam Input Enabled. Then define layout of joystick controller as Ps4 and map your buttons to map defaults in game. You may need to start with clean profile (back up and delete old one in settings).

They need to address this issue in the next update and provide native joystick support.

I don't use a joystick in BF2042 (not a pilot) but have experienced similar problems in Racing Games which did not support joysticks. so I can fully understand your frustration.

Why did EA not keep the joystick controller option for 2042. I was expecting my joystick to automatically mesh with the BF 4 controls. Very disappointing. It’s like buying a car but they left out the steering wheel and replaced it with buttons…. Lol

mmh there is already one big thread about joystick support ^^ why open another one?

OK its been a week and no answer to my issue. How do I get 2042 to recognise my flight controller on pc ?

Still no joystick support...I've uninstalled it  waiting for Joystick support on PC version.
