Players are crying out for some fresh content, look how popular the new Exposure map has been.
Agree!!!!! I wish they would give us more
I hope your wish come true, but i'm afraid it wont.
To answer OP, yes one map. Yes, that's it.
The content for this title is already done. They can't just create a new map from scratch now. If it is not already built, there is no chance it makes it into the game. At most we can hope for some additional classic maps to make it into the middle of Season 2 (October).
If there is any chance of a bigger content drop, it would be Season 3, which starts right before the holiday season. I was hoping they would add a Server Browser, Squad Management functionality and finally crack open server rentals then.

well redux some old classics then. that must be much quicker? pearl market, shanghai, lockers etc. it shouldnt take a year to make 2 maps. thats abysmal.
- Chief2GFD3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Adamonic My question is, Season 1 was originally going to be 4 maps, correct? But those 4 maps then got broken up into 1 map per season, correct? So if they had 4 maps for Season 1, that means that more maps were probably already in development for following seasons. So maybe, just maybe, there are some other maps in the works.

Who would have thought that in a modern warfare setting we’d never have it as good as we had it when BF4 was in its prime. Back then I could only dream of how amazing Battlefield would be in 2022! Thinking of course that things would only get better and better.
The number of new maps every few months, the incredible number of weapons & gadgets, and the diversity of vehicles from map to map with a pretty good vehicle balance overall. BF4 had its faults but damn they delivered some content!
To see the franchise devolving and being set back over a decade as far as content, the quality of existing content and the overall lack of features compared to other BF games is really sad.- RayD_O13 years agoHero

With only one new map added since launch BF2042 is currently starved of much needed content.
Imho one new map per season will not be enough to freshen BF2042 and attract much needed new players.
As I have said several, times Exposure is much more of a true BF map than the original 7 AOW maps in terms of how it looks and plays.
We need more maps of the same quality and the more the better to help grow the BF2042 player base which will benefit us all and in the long run the whole BF Franchise.
I would say that most of the community are desperate for BF to succeed / survive, only time will tell if it does.

@Chief2GFDFrom the data miners, the 4 maps were either all for Season 1 or Season 1 and 2. So possibly 2 maps per season. The other 4 maps, for season 3 and 4 were supposed to be finished from December 2021 to November 2022 before the S3 launch, basically a new map per quarter. However EA halted all new development and the new maps were never finished. Again all speculation from data miner info (which has been extremely accurate).
