@UP_Hawxxeye Agreed. I still think BFV had one of the better systems in place. Vehicles felt strong and felt like true tanks that could take multiple hits BUT they also could have parts disabled properly thus your positioning of your tank mattered. It made for a good foundation to create multiple ways to balance it and was quite dynamic.
I hate hitting the tracks of tanks in 2042, see "part disabled," and the tank still moves full speed. I would be fine if tanks were a bit "tankier" if this mechanic actually played a role.

@BgobbleDIf he’s driving away at full speed it’s because he popped his repairs. I’ve spent a fair amount of time in tanks for all the BF games, a track hit does immobilize the tank in 2042. If I have a repair I can quickly regain mobility but it’s got a cool down. A second hit will give you time to land enough to kill.
One thing I don’t see in this conversation is stationeries. In all the other games, you could jump on a stationary AA and shoot at the choppies. TOW missiles (or Paks in V) give the average infantry plug the ability to punch a tank. IMHO the biggest issue is map design and a lack of stationeries. Tanks or choppers too dominant? Add more stationeries. Vice versa is also true.
Maps need more concealment for the groundpounders. Maybe make it destructible so it’s reduced over time. Some solid cover mixed with concealment so we can run around in moderate safety as we play the walking simulator.
