Got the chance to play Kaleidoscope the first time today after the rework. I also had the chance to play the new patch some time and this is my feedback.
1. Kaleidoscope's rework is going in the right direction. It feels much more "alive", some areas are great, some are "ok", but I think there is no location anymore, that feels empty. Additional, the ways between the points seem shorter, even if the map has still the same size. If has a better flow. I would need more rounds on the map for a final verdict, but for the first round, it was much more enjoyable.
2. BSV's nerf was in my opinion not enough. I played some rounds with it, it feels still very strong in automatic mode, couldn't tell any difference to before the patch. Could still go full auto, hit and kill like before. Compared to DM7 or VCAR, it is a no brainer, to take the BSV. Even compared with the AR, I would prefer the BSV in most situations. For a weapon with a silencer and sub sonic amunition, the damage is too high. The recoil is very low, too, but I wouldn't nerf it to oblivion. But the feature, that you can't locate the shooter before you get hit, gives a very big advantage and before you are able to locate the enemy, you are already dead through the high damage. It feels unfair because there is not much, you can do, it someone is camping in the bush.
3. Stealth helicopter are still too strong, as expected. Yes, the are not able to do the endless kill streaks, but the counter measures for infantry is still non existent, so you are just dying slower without any chance. The bombs are still very strong... don't think, this vehicle is balance able without taking some of its defense (for example SOFLAM is able to target in stealth mode, or just one stinger rocket it enough to kill the helicopter) or to nerf his offense into the ground (should not be the goal). Still very unsatisfying to play against, stealth helicopter pilots still have godlike stats.
4. Nerf of the close combat guns... haven't noticed a difference. Maybe you need one bullet more or something, but still easy to handle and now you are dying in 0,1 seconds later... does no difference. For me, these guns are still too easy to handle (but this is modern for fps at the moment, so it's done with purpose) and because of that, the DMR's are far behind the AR and SMGs (except BSV).
5. Haven't played the wildcat but it seems to perform better against air. For pilots maybe overpowered, but the if the infantry and other vehicles are doing their job, it still gets killed often.
Don't have more points at the moment. For me, the patch is "ok". I like the new Kaleidoscope, but the core problems for me, what is stealing the fun in this game (for example balance) were not touched. I am very curious for the next reworks, but would like to see more work in the balance.
