After almost 1.5k messages in this thread, I believe we should expect some official positioning from EA at common communication channels for Battlefield like Twitter (https://twitter.com/BattlefieldComm), as well as Instagram (https://instagram.com/battlefield) and YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/@Battlefield).

Today I realized that BF2042 supports keyboard on Xbox Series X😉
You can type in chat with keyboard

Text input is ok on PS as well, but as support for mnk we meant to be able to map game input for it as you have on PC.
And, as the systems supports mnk transparently, we can consider this a lack of feature. I meam, we have a feature that was ripped out on purpose for consoles, putting it with less features than offered to PC players, by design, setting us on disadvantage.

I'm gonna do some stats on how console players perform vs PC players. I'm sure there is a big disparity between platforms. But it will be hard as main scoreboard does not have platform info, you have to look into section where you have list of all players with platform info but its not avalaible after the game.

If you discover how can I help you, it'll be my pleasure!
But here you have one interesting stat: You have 30 muscles in one hand. In thumb you have 3 (10%).But you may consider that, working with the mouse (to aim) you have a good portion of all you arm muscles to assist you in the task.
Considering a normal arm has 24 muscles, in total you have 54 muscles operating when you're using a mouse to aim.
So, a finger (your thumb at the gamepad) offers you ~5,5% (3/54) of the muscle capabilities and workforce a person using an arm to achieve the same task, using a mouse!

when one of team has 150 tickets left I start recording scoreboard and then go to player list. I will try to see how console players perform on average in comparision to PC. The problem is that the whole scoreboard isnt visible. I guess I will base it on 10 matches of conquest. - 3 years ago
In the past we used to have a webpage with the scorings… it would be helpful for such analysis. Does EA removed this feature too? I can’t find it anymore on battlefield.com 😔

so far I recorded scoreboards and player lists (with platform info) from 5 games. I'm not in rush as it wont really change anything for BF2042. I will provide my conclusions by the end of March but it can be within few next days - all depends on my free time.

My man!
I appreciate your frequent posts on this thread, and I would like to say, I'm with you on this! I have a gut feeling that EA will bring this soon, lets keep fighting

is that progress in some way? does that mean they are checking the feature on consoles ?

May the Lord bless your words! 🤣
Cant wait anymore to see an official comment by EA on this. Until now, it’s like EA is ignoring every single word on the subject. But we can’t give up!

Been a fan since Battlefield 1942 on PC. I even had the adds the play battlefield Vietnam, if anybody remembers. It was fun. But as new consoles went into market and video cards starting getting pricey I moved to consoles. Every game publisher then started focusing on making cross play available. But they forgot on thing, the advantage of mouse and keyboard over a controller. It doesn't cost them anything to add this option. ea just wants to sale the game on pc for a clean income. The don't want to share the earnings with PSN or Xbox. Sad that we have to suffer their fights. But that the real reason. It make the game really popular. But I guess someone is holding off. CEO maybe. 🤔
