How has there been zero communication on this in 3 days, wtf I paid £80 for early access and I'm not able to progress in co-op.
Something tells me that we will be waiting for the full official release on friday for the actual fixes for all of the XP issues, they just cant launch the game fully in this state.
Either that or they just dont care about people that dont wanna sweat their life away to do remotely well in PVP modes like myself, id consider myself average at best but I, along with multiple other people I have spoken to, just dont find it fun due to how sweaty everyone is, so I have mainly been playing PVE, I thought at the start is was just one of those issues with the whole new game early access deal and when I found out they outright disabled most progress besides base xp gain from kills etc it just makes so little sense, its the only way some people can make meaningful progress because they arent willing to grind their life away in PVP. Sadly its too late on my end to get a refund but if I still could I would in a heartbeat as I doubt this will be fixed and knowing dice when it is fixed it will be nerfed xp in co-op like 30% of regular, seriously, frick dice.

I would expect that the XP problem will be addressed in some way or another as well between now and Friday. ....whether that's with a temp solution a more permanent one or at least some kind of status update.
I really doubt it's a matter of EA /DICE not caring about it. This was a big selling point for their new AI being implemented and the fact that anyone can play the game as they liked. Portal is a big part of their future plans as a sustainable model going forward. The fact that players can play as they want and still progress was a big part of that. Portal is also turning out to be the one shining light for BF2042 where it hasn't really received nearly as much criticism as the rest of the game. ....except of course for the progression suspension and the server availability issues exploiters caused.
I'm not saying they definitely won't scrap the idea of XP in Portal or even solo / coop, but I can't see anything good coming from that at all. It doesn't benefit them or the players. They just need to wrap their heads around the problem and come up with solutions to help mitigate the cheating. They are obviously already taking some steps toward that as there are reports of people being banned for it. I really don't think the solution is that complicated given DICE has all the information they need to track progression and hone in of those who are obviously ranking up "unnaturally" fast. .....perhaps resets (partial or full) are in order in those cases, etc. along with bans for the most egregious scenarios.
Personally, I think progression is coming back within the coming days. IMO, Portal is too important especially right now.
Id like to hope for the best, I dont think anyone sees a big issue with full xp gain on co op or even portal as long as the farm servers are fixed
