@R1ckyDaMan19That may be in the December patch. That patch will be very large imo(file size)

This their idea of fixing progression in Portal? I've not played it since last week but when I last played it the XP was capped at 6k per round and no kills counted towards unlocks. So can anyone confirm what it's like now?
Surely if they want to cap the XP then they need to take the global average XP that people earn per match in the core game and then just cap it at that on Portal, that way no matter what game mode you play you will never earn more than the global average XP. Yes it'll probably be easier to reach that XP in Portal if your farming but playing against bots for progression was always going to be easier than PvP so thats just something we and DICE have to accept as that's the model they chose. And kills counting towards unlocks just simply has to come back as it was an advertised feature.
So can anyone confirm what the progression is like in Portal currently after their 'fix' at the weekend?

Also hoping that manual leaning is included in their 'returning legacy features' list for consideration. A serious sniper likes a good manual lean, as does a seriously tactical CQB player (leaning into doorways to breach rooms), really we also need an improvement to the manual lean we had in BFV, this time round we need to be able to walk while leaning, so breaching rooms and blind corners can be achieved, aka like SQUAD or Insurgency style as that would be great for the tactical hardcore milsim Portal servers that will no doubt start popping up all over the place.

@R1ckyDaMan19How is it nerfed? Just the range right?
@Xanistar Man, you got all that from some patch notes? I hate to break it to you, but this looks like patch notes from any other game good / bad / ugly that is out in the world today. Your take here really just self-identifies you as one of the people that choose to hate this game no matter what… and only one person can change that.

"New official Vehicle Team Deathmatch template
Improved Bots helicopter handling
Improved Bots combat behaviors
Improved Bots gamemode behaviors"
Ok DICE you have my attention and a second chance. Please don't make me regret it!!!
As Garrus says in Mass Effect 2:
"I'm all for second chances. Not so big on third ones though."
- 4 years ago@Jesse165 If they can get some of these core issues resolved, the community will adapt. But that core stuff needs fixing.
- 4 years ago@carsono311 Kind of been having weird audio issues and hoping they are actually minor to fix and put in 2nd or 3 patch.
- 4 years ago@carsono311 Choose to hate this game? Hardly. Extremely disappointed in this game? Absolutely. What we were sold, and how this game was marketed is vastly different than the actual product. And nowhere close to Battlefield games of the past. This game promised an immersive experience with a great amount of levolution, with all the hype suggesting this was an expasion upon all the good ideas and gameplay from BF2, BF3, BF4, etc. What we got was a reskinned wannabe COD/Apex/Fortnite marketed under the Battlefield banner. If you are happy with this, that's your prerogative. But don't kid yourself that this is actually a true Battlefield game. So in one respect you are correct: I choose to not look at the flaming pile of crap this game is and pretend it's a masterpiece.
And no, the vast majority of games with patch notes do not generally ever exceed two pages of bug fixes for things that should have never made it into the final release.- carsono3114 years agoSeasoned Ace
@XanistarFeels like a Battlefield game to me, having played them all. This release is still better than the Battlefield 4 release (and arguably Battlefield V in terms of the balancing and the pre-release drama).
To each their own I guess.
