Let’s talk about the scarcity of ammo crates
In BF4 and BF1 Supports are encouraged to constantly drop large ammo crates in order to resupply by their other gadget. Gadgets like the Limpet(BF1), or C4(BF4). As a result of this built in incentive, their squad mates, especially rocket troops, have a reliable and constant stream of ammo resupply.
BFV has the ammo stations at each objective. Another RELIABLE source of ammo resupply.
In 2042 there’s a lack of incentive to run the ammo crate for Medics because there’s no other gadget to resupply. For whatever reason I see plenty of Angel characters running around but rarely, if ever, do I see Angel’s large crate being called in since the class overhaul.
Two decades of Battlefield I’ve never had such a difficult time getting rockets resupplied like I’m currently experiencing in 2042. And I’ve ran Support in previous BF games, dropping thousand of ammo crates. I do the same when I run Falk in 2042. Unfortunately I seem to be in the minority as far as medics dropping ammo crates.
Something needs to give w 2042. We either need the buildable crates at each objective or the dynamic for the ammo crate needs to incentivize the class that carries the crate like we have in BF4 and BF1.
Until then I’ll just keep instantly/needlessly redeploying the second I run out of rockets in order to resupply because 9/10 matches I’m not going to get resupplied via team mates.
