@Trokey66 OK, that was a bad example, but my point that 'Don't like, don't read/watch/buy' is a sign of arrogance still stands. Every multiplayer ought to have some form of offline play to keep the game alive so people can keep playing it. Day after day I see comments all over the Internet about how people wish to return to the old days of Battlefield where they could play against the offline bots. Battlefield has had this problem for FIFTEEN years. It's time for a change of pace, and 'don't like, don't buy' isn't gonna help anyone.

@ChrisAWJBethelbut do developers feel that the demand for such a feature is worth the expense and effort required to implement it?
Just because you and a few others think it should be the case and damn anyone else is almost text book arrogance.
In a game that is marketed as an online multiplayer, I would suggest that the vast majority of players will be at best ambivilant to such a mode. Indeed, no small number would be against such as they will no doubt feel it took valuable recourses away from the main aspect of multiplayer.
Me? I ambivilant but if I didn't like the majority of the package, I wouldn't buy it.
OP and you have the same choice.
- 5 years ago@Trokey66 Every game must have an offline mode with bots. Because when you buy a game you must be guaranteed that you can play it for a long time at least with bots. Without offline mode, you can only rent the game.
- 5 years ago@Trokey66 I'm wondering what is stopping you with offline mode? What are your complaints about this? If you want to play online then play. But everyone needs not only an online mode, but also an offline one. Since not many have a good Internet connection or in different cases.
- ChrisAWJBethel5 years agoSeasoned Ace@Trokey66 If they don't then we all know why games keep getting sequels every one to three years instead of making a quality game that will last forever.
- Trokey665 years agoSeasoned Ace@AristarhUcolov2 With or without offline bots, you don't own the game. You have only bought a license to use the software that can be changed/revoked at anytime.
- Trokey665 years agoSeasoned Ace@AristarhUcolov2 I am completely ambivilant to on offline bot mode, I care not a jot if it is in game or not as that is not why I play Battlefield.
My 'issue' is the self entitled demand that it must be there and if it isn't, the 'I won't buy it' rubbish expecting DICE to immediately capitulate, apologise and add it.
The real irony is that there are threads saying that if there are bots in any circumstances, people 'won't buy it'!
As I have said (and been called arrogant for saying it) if you don't like it, don't buy it. - lzilchetl5 years agoSeasoned Ace
I think these would sell well.... You can drive them when you haven't got petrol.
- ChrisAWJBethel5 years agoSeasoned Ace@Trokey66 Asking for offline bots is 'self-entitled' and 'rubbish'? What ails you, dude?
- Trokey665 years agoSeasoned Ace@ChrisAWJBethel Look at the thread title directly above your post and consider the numerous times people in the thread have said the 'must be offline bots' (or similar words to that effect).
