DLSS has been greatly improved since the launch of BF2042, but if you try to swap out the DLSS .dll for a new one (like you are able to in many other games) the feature becomes greyed out in-game.A super simple solution is to exclude the DLSS .dll file from EasyAntiCheat, so the feature wont get flagged/disabled if the .dll is swapped.Warhammer 40k DarkTide recently did this and it uses EasyAntiCheat.On launch they had the same issue and people asked them to allow DLSS swapping, and an update later they had fixed it.Newer DLSS versions have basically completely fixed all the issues that are present in the version that comes with BF2042 (2.2.18) such as ghosting, artifacting, residual shimmering, etc.

@EA_Atic Any chance we can get DLSS updated in the game? The new versions of DLSS fixes a lot of problems the DLSS 2.2 version has that Battlefield 2042 is running. I imagine it's not that big of a time investment to implement, but I'm not a dev so I wouldn't know and I'm sure they already have a lot on their plate. It would be greatly appreciated by anyone who uses DLSS though.

Or better yet, EA/DICE can you please update DLSS.dll for us in the next patch?

Just saw, nice!Still can't .dll swap which would future proof it, but the update is very nice.Although 2.5.0 still had dlss' terrible old sharpening implementation, which even nvidia says was bad and is why they disabled it in 2.5.1 (and why I wanted 2.5.1 specifically).Hopefully its enabled too strongly in the game, or if it is they'll at least add a slider in the future.It also still has the issue of greatly reducing motion blur strength or disabling it on objects all together like the hovercraft's back fan (and I think DOF as well)

ive been playing a year so far. i like this game but so far none of the problems are getting fixed. we get new content but the problems stay. we have said too much for way too long.

First loading screen still shows 2021 ... Not sure what we can expect these days.

Don't live support game usually have current year shown ? Something like it's still being worked on, rather than done deal.

I think in BF1 and V they show the current year (or at least a newer year than the year they came out). I imagine it is as simple as a hard-coded number versus a variable that checks for current year.

@NikkMann149 Also noticed that DLSS basically breaks motion blur due to the severe over-sharpening that it has in 2042. Again, newer DLSS versions have fixed this. Specifically, DLSS 2.5.1 disables DLSS' in-built sharpening as Nvidia admitted it is subpar and recommends users use their new image sharpening slider in the control panel instead.
