@DrunkwoIf They may try to fix some of the most egregious failings, but I don't see any medium-long term investment in the franchise. And I don't see any further 'traditional' BF games being launched in the future.

all we can hope is 2042 is finally rock bottom, and now its time to climb back up and make BF great again.

@Lancelot_du_Lac They probably mean they will turn in back into a BR game with plenty of cosmetics on sale.

  @Rusty Rat Then it will no longer be battlefield. They would have to change the title to something else. BR is a different genre of games to what battlefield is….but you’re probably just trolling anyway

    @skullcracker2378 No not trolling, just have a horrible feeling that is what will happen. I agree that Battle Royal is not what Battlefield is, but that didn't stop them introducing it in BFV and it was apparently the original direction of 2042 (it shows). You say they would have to change the title because it wouldn't be Battlefield, but they can put the title on anything they want. In my opinion, and many others, BF2042 isn't Battlefield either, but it bears the title.
