My short list (got more, but don't want to be to negative):
- Rework all maps (make them smaller, reposition objectives, give each sector except of the edge sectors at least 2 objectives, bring in some cover)
- Make 64 player conquest (less performance issues, less clusterfck)
- More transport vehicles (quads, jeeps without heavy weapons as in BF3/4) for eacht team and less helicopters / tanks
- Remove / Fix random bullet spread
- Rework / Fix the sound design (i have not heard a single footstep in more than 10 hours)
- Rework portal class system (right now, the classes are like specialists, but they need to be like classes from previous games)
- Rework the whole HUD, as it is totally crowded but not helpful at all
- Server-Browser and map rotation
- Scoreboard (i am really doing bad in this game and i would like to see, if it is everyone except the pilots or if it is just me)
- More weapons needed and better balance
- Edit: Indicators for nearby medics
- Edit2: Remove armor plates
- Even more, but enough for now (Bug fixing and performance issues should be obvious)

I wish we could PIN some of the topics. Everyday, there are the same new topics created which just looked chaotic and surely any of the Dice guys coming here will just click away.
Feedback needs to be constructive and professional not entitled and whiny. *sigh*

After a few days of playing, a bit of BF fatigue is setting already in, at least for me. I feel like I've played these maps already for years. Not a good sign and i never felt like that with the past BF games. I mean i still play BF 4 today. I cannot foresee myself playing 2042 in, lets say, 3-4 years.
And really, when you look at the whole package, its really really bare bones. And aside from what everyone already suggested, we need more game modes.
- My suggestion is to at least have a TDM mode out before xmas and since we can't pick the server anymore, offer a few edited maps. Smaller ones for 32 players. medium areas for 64 and 2-3 larger for 128. Let us select that.

○ When entering vehicles, the outside perspective is automatically selected, although I have last used (and prefer) the inside view.
The game should remember which view you last played in. Because it is very annoying if you have to press "C" every time you enter a vehicle.○ Classic scoreboard:
All players visible (even enemy ones) incl. level display with kills / deaths.
The current "scoreboard" does not even have to be removed in the process. There is still enough space in the middle for the detailed scoreboard.○ Holding down "E" to open doors is annoying. Is there a specific reason for this?
○ A posture indicator would be very helpful (especially when crouching).
○ An option for mouse sensitivity of looking around freely in vehicles is missing (as a driver, not sitting at a weapon).
○ A sighting bonus should be reintroduced. Many players neglect their sighting duty.
○ Problems with resuscitation in general:
It should be rewarded if someone waits the complete resurrection time (e.g. +10 points).
This is because many players stop the resuscitation time way too early. In this context, the injured player should be able to see surrounding helpers so he doesn't abort early.
Really: waiting must be rewarded (or too fast aborting punished with a longer respawn cooldown).
Reason:
It sucks when I run up to a player specifically to save him, but then he cancels the reanimation time. Later, the player reappears at the same place with exactly the same equipment. He could have been saved easily.○ Own position on the map difficult to recognize at first go (maybe add a bigger arrow?).
○ Free view (just move your head), e.g. with the ALT key.
○ Lean around corners
○ You should be able to lean over low walls, in addition to leaning around corners (which is also missing).
○ Specialist skills should be given more weight and be unique (see class system in BF 2, BF 4).
○ 32 and 64 player game modes should be reintroduced. 128 players overloads the currently available maps and should only be offered as a special form.
○ At the beginning of a match you should not be forced to spawn. I often prepare my equipment for map conditions at this stage.
○ The body protection plates are annoying, especially since even without protection an unnecessary number of body hits are necessary. You should, if you want to keep plates built into the game, at least increase the projectile damage of all firearms.
○ Maps are boring and sometimes even unfairly designed (the opposing team scores points faster than the other at the start of the match). Interactive map changes are missing; a single whirlwind as the only weather effect is not enough.
○ A spawn camera, like in BF 4, would make things a lot easier.

I would like them to boost the XP rewards for targeting vehicles with the SOFLAM or repairing to encourage teamwork. If I choose to spend a map sat in the back of a transport helicopter keeping it in the air by repairing from the passenger seat, or hopping out and repairing then I think I should be rewarded for it appropriately, and no . . the warm feeling inside knowing I helped the team doesn't offset the unimpressive XP haul at the end of the game. An automated voice line heard by people in the near area when you have locked a target with the SOFLAM would also be nice.

Oh wow i didnt see how this Topic grew, It never shows up in my feed for some reason.
Really, Dice could just look into a single topic and they get all the info what fans would like to see. Personally, since the 64 player maps, Im having more fun. Its unreal how much that changed the game. Its smooth, no stutters and feels much more balanced. However, why they are "limited" is beyond me and its kinda an insult IMO. Like they have a lot of content and throwing us a bone for a limit time? Shows you how out of touch they still are.
Im not going to list some new long term suggestions or suggestions that are unrealistic. At this point, Im ok with the specialists and Dice will not remove them. But here's what i think dice should do to save the game from dying a slow death in the next 3 months. And this is my BARE minimum if they want me to keep playing (IMO). Some of it id like to see in new patches and the content should be for the first season pass. Lets give them until March. One thing i know right away - keep that new specialist. For now. Instead focus on what we have atm and what the game needs. And its not another specialist.General:
- Fix rest of bugs
- Optimize. Why is this game cpu bound when i have a 1200 GPU? If thats a Frostbite flaw then maybe its time to use Unreal 5 instead.
- Some of the vehicles need tweaks. Tanks feel useless. Or maybe i suck at them.
- Add old school style R/D/P scores to the already existing player list board (when you hit esc during match, left side bottom - there is already a player list). Make proper rankings So we can see whos leading. let me bind it to a key.
- Add the server browser for the main game. I mean, what were they thinking? I wanna chose what map to play etc- Fix XP system. To encourage team play maybe give healing more XP than killing. That way people wouldn't just run passed you. Also where are squad wipes? Squad xps? The whole system needs work. boost the XP rewards for targeting vehicles with the SOFLAM or repairing vehicles.
- Get rid of the intro "cinematics" before matches.
- Get rid of the one liners at the end and go straight to the squad screen.
- Focus on 64 players again. 128 just doesn't work.
- Rework existing maps for better cover. When you spawn in a wide open field with no cover, its no fun.
Content:
And this is the crucial part. If they never going to add a scoreboard, it wont stop me from playing. But the lack of content will. And dont get distracted by the small insults (ala 2 weapon skins) they threw our way. This game is still like a barebone beta. And its not ok. Looking at their twitter, they seem to ignore all critic and just act like everything is ok. Its not.
One thing i NEVER understood is how they could have not make completely different designs for the RU side of the specialists. I mean even when using the same character, at least make the skins vastly different. It just proved that they never really played their own game?
To remedy that Id like to see:
- 5-10 new skins for each of the specialists. incl. headgear that LOOKs different. (and not just slight color changes only)
- 1 new weapon for each of the weapon types. (minimum)
- More attachments to unlock. Where's the infrared scope? 🙂
- A new map that has better destruction, levolution and maybe adds some bite, grit to the battlefield. I dont want the maps to look like fortnite playground. This is war after all. The leaks suggested a new map with earthquakes and slides. Thats more like it. Bring it on.
- Have Rush, TDM modes, be a part of the game. Rework current maps for these modes.
- Better rewards. More weekly challenges.I think this is my own bare minimum for me to keep playing. It builds on what they have now. And considering that 2042 never had a single player mode, BF 4 season passes had way more maps ( i mean we talking about ONE NEW MAP), past BF games had way more weapons, this is realistic IMO.
