Personally, I prefer slower, tactical shooters with fast TTK and without all the gimmicks. Just small unit tactics and gunplay. .....with some mechanized units, arty and other support thrown in.
This is why BF has always been a refreshing change for me from franchises like CoD given that it had those elements in a more casual format. .....but then it got too arcadish over time and ruined the formula IMO. BF has lost its identity as far as I'm concerned.
I hadn't really been that invested in a BF game since before BF4 to be honest.
