It is not possible to balance controller and MnK. Compromise levels can vary, we're not yet in CoD or Apex levels of stupidity, but we might get there.
Why is it so difficult to balance is not only the vastly different control methods. Controller needs aim assist for 99% of players to be fun. We cannot have controller players not playing a game that feels bad to aim. Console and PC tick rate lag whatever seems to be yet another thing, the servers need to process different systems.
One of the issues I see is skill issue. There are new players and "pro" players who can really do work with their chosen control method. Top controller user vs. average working dad/mom, counterstrike god vs. casual 30 fps enjoyer on potato PC with slow reactions. How do you give equal opportunity while giving value to learning and training and adjusting settings to do the best you can do, without it being completely unfair to someone? I say you can't.
As nice as it is to be able to play games with friends on different systems, fast pace action isn't workikng.
This is the one thing that is keeping me from fully enjoying the game. On xbox, I've been forced to stay in portal in mixed games. I can handle a few pc players, but still find that they account for at least 90% of my deaths. Often it feels like I'm dead before I have a chance to react, always on the first few bullets, and always very quick. I can actually recall the ONE tine I had a pc player kill me with a while spread of bullets, where he missed most his shots. I was good in BFV, often in the top few players, but here it's just endless dying, I'm forced to play recon and spot for points, or support. And as one who likes small fast attach vehicles like the RAM, it's always a pc player doing insane movement in a chopper that insta kills the vehicle, but that might be more a balance issue with the way the RAM has limited healing/smoke compared to multiple lock ons.
