While DICE are hard at working adding VOIP, fixing maps and making improvements where they can to 2042 there is one thing that always makes me doubtful and that is specialists.
Their abilities abilities change the game so dramatically it completely changes the Battlefield experience we all love and enjoy.
I have no clue how they will make good maps with flying squirrels and a grappling cowboy darting around the place because that alone will make map flow irrelevant. To me a definition of a good map is clear fronts, engagements, and that won't happen when specialists can ignore map design.
They destroy gameplay and quite frankly they look stupid whilst doing so.
Let's have a quick talk about microtransactions also, I firmly believe they added specialists purely for this. But imagine, being able to build your own "soldier", imagine the possibilites of picking everything from helmet, shirt, belt, pants, holster, body armour, boots ect.. Not only would the players be given more choice they'd be able to sell MTX.
Don't get me wrong I hate MTX just as much as the next person in games, but if that's what keeps the playerbase as a whole and not split with expansions I'm all for it.
DICE/EA, please, just swallow your pride and remove them. Because for as long as they are still in the game, they will still ruin the experience and you'll still have a significant amount of players staying away.
I disagree as I needed the Battlefued experience to change because Battlefield V was proof enough to me that it was becoming stale.

- 4 years ago@SushiiCombo Weren't the last four or five games in this series broken experiences when they were first released? I play BF2042 more than I have ever wanted to play BFV and look forward to future content and improvements.

At least BF1 had a more or less flawless launch.
It's true that BF1 and BF5 had settings not all players wanted to play as they wanted modern military instead of historic. But they all delivered what was promised
Compare that to the disgrace BF2042 is and remember the trailers that promised a gritty BF4 like experience and then they delivered a hero shooter in pristine environments (e.g. look at Kaleidoskope with the lawn freshly cropped to 2cm and clean roads and compare that to what they had shown to us in the trailer).
