At least BF1 had a more or less flawless launch.
It's true that BF1 and BF5 had settings not all players wanted to play as they wanted modern military instead of historic. But they all delivered what was promised
Compare that to the disgrace BF2042 is and remember the trailers that promised a gritty BF4 like experience and then they delivered a hero shooter in pristine environments (e.g. look at Kaleidoskope with the lawn freshly cropped to 2cm and clean roads and compare that to what they had shown to us in the trailer).

@DuaneDibbley Which BF2042 trailer are you referencing? All I remember is multiplayer footage edited together that looked very similar to the game thst is available and a CGI movie.
