Levelution (or lack there of) & Fixing Breakthrough
I wanted to take a moment to discuss Levelution and the lack of it in BF2042.
Levelution was an innovative idea that set Battlefield apart from other shooters of the time, someone in a building? knock the building down, need to get through that wall? blow it up, it was incredible and over time we've seen multiple different iterations of it, some good and some bad.
Honestly the amount of Levelution on 2042 is essentially non existent, it's hilariously lacking in comparison to titles that came out before on weaker systems.
With that out of the way, I'd like to see it improved, and actually work to change up the dynamic of the maps, in particular for modes like Breakthrough.
Yes we have the points on the top of the buildings that are nigh on impossible to capture as the attacking team. But this is where Levelution could have come into play, let us take those buildings down, completely change up the dynamic of the map, cant block a point on a roof if there is no more roof.
Or on Returnal, let us punch a hole through the wall elsewhere to split up the funnel that is the middle.
I dont know if this is possible to do in a live environment but improving the Levelution in general would really improve the experience and give back that battlefield feeling.
