As I was saying in this thread,
Want to encourage players to use Engineer class? Here's how. - Answer HQ (ea.com)
Lis should have her "Lissle" (since it's her specialist "ability") AND the other rockets in the engineer class as well.
She can't be resupplied via an ammo box and her "Lissle" takes forever to reload and until that reload timer expires, she might as well run and grab donuts for the rest of her squad.
And Crawford and Boris need some sort of an offensive buff as well, my suggestions are in the that thread I posted a link to, feel free to add yours.
No. Lis would be soloing all vehicles then. While the amount of gadgets she is locked out of is unfair, Not Missiles.
How often do you see me defend pilots!!!!
The hyperbole surrounding her being OP is laughable, ok sure she can one-shot the Littlebird and the stealth helo, but she is nothing more than a mild annoyance to every other vehicle in the game.
She can't even take out a jeep unless it's stupid enough to stay still for TWO shots!
Engineers right now are almost a throw away class, with little to no offensive capabilities other than Lis's "ability" which due to its extremely long reload time makes her meh at best.
Also, unless you get the "vehicle destroyed" shot you get no score, her "Lissle" is basically a "finisher" shot not a viable offensive tool.
If you fire off both of her shots, you're basically done as an offensive engineer for the next few minutes, she needs access to more offensive tools i.e., more rockets period.
And Crawford and Boris in their current form aren't even worth using at all, Rao was the obvious choice (to literally EVERYONE other than EA/Dice it would seem) for engineer and the only real viable specialist for an offensive engineer.

@Ironhead841I agree 100%.
Unless you're in a round where your team has multiple highly coordinated squads on comms the pilots are still able to remain airbone for a long time. I'm simply not encountering matches where Lis or Rao are having significant effect on Air than they were prior to 3.2. In fact, with the buffs to engineer repair, and people looking to obtain T1 eng class badges, I'm seeing Condors and transport heli staying up even longer than before.
High-skill pilot mains are going to be in more difficult lobbies on average too. Because they will typically have a higher skill rating. DICE has a proprietary skill rating. It is based on your percentile position in a combination of statistics such as SBM, KPM, K/D, and overall kills, score, etc. This skill rating used to be visible to players in earlier titles. SBMM is happening.
There is a lot of lobbying and attempts to control the narrative here. Hoping that DICE isn't swayed and sticks to the data.

Yeah, the reality in-game is nowhere near what a lot of these heli pilots try to claim, either that or I am the unluckiest BF player in existence as my team still seem to be getting smoked pretty regularly by aircraft, particularly by transports and stealth helis.
I would hope EA/Dice wouldn't implement SBMM without telling their player base, if that were indeed the case, I would have never bought this game.

They did tell some of their player base back in BFV. 🙂

Her specialist weapon can do damage to both land and air vehicles, and has unlimited ammo. Why would I want to use the other two options?
- Psubond3 years agoLegend@Skill4Reel We should have the *option*.
Pick what you want with that option (her missile hits anything other than an attack helo or jet like a wet noodle that has been overcooked)

I never said she was OP, pilots say that. I believe vehicles and Lis were in a good place prior to the patch. The patch upended the cart.
ok sure she can one-shot the Littlebird and the stealth helo, but she is nothing more than a mild annoyance to every other vehicle in the game.
Currently Yes. That being said, giving her gadget missiles would make her more then an annoyance.
She can't even take out a jeep unless it's stupid enough to stay still for TWO shots!
True, 3 shots are needed to destroy the vehicle, 1 shot is needed to kill the driver. Just hit the window.
Engineers right now are almost a throw away class, with little to no offensive capabilities other than Lis's "ability" which due to its extremely long reload time makes her meh at best.
Lis could use more gadgets. Med Pen, ammo crate, what ever else. That being said, more rockets is not her answer.
Also, unless you get the "vehicle destroyed" shot you get no score, her "Lissle" is basically a "finisher" shot not a viable offensive tool.
True, I have T1d Lis. I have had 400+ final blows. I know how many more it took. That being said, her non killing rocket is still an offensive tool. Her ability to spy damaged vehicles and SOFLAM them is valuable and plays into her killing blow prior to the changes. Now however, nobody else but engineers, a low played class, has missiles. The answer isnt to arm Lis, but to arm the Assault class with rockets too. They are assault after all.If you fire off both of her shots, you're basically done as an offensive engineer for the next few minutes, she needs access to more offensive tools i.e., more rockets period.
Again, the game design for Lis is not to be the sole destroyer. The fix is to give Assault the rockets.

@Padding_Ur_Stats @Tank2042Man
I'm just going to have to respectfully disagree.
Boris and Crawford are F-tier specialists' (always have been really) so once their arsenal of rockets is expended all they can do is make scary faces at armor or aircraft because their anti-vehicles "abilities" are essentially useless.
Try them for yourself in Solo/Co-op and see how much damage the turret or the mini-gun ACTUALLY does to even lightly armored vehicles.
As I said already Lis' downfall is how long it takes to reload her "Lissiles" if you pop both of those off ya might as well go hide somewhere, get up, grab a cup of coffee maybe make a sandwich and by the time you get back she might be ready to get back into action.
If the Engineer Class is actually meant to be the infantryman's answer to combating vehicles, they need better tools.
- 3 years ago@Ironhead841 All I see on Australian servers is a team that has anywhere between 30 and 40% engineers running around.
So it appears to me that players are flocking to the engineer class.
Lis players can switch to Boris or Crawford if they want to use a different rocket. It's not a tough decision for them to make, they still keep their favourite guns and grenade.
- AOD_CapStar3623 years agoSeasoned Ace@Ironhead841 she can one shoot any jet, the apache and hokum, along with the littlebird and stealth helis.
