Dang, I've never seen a Lis like you. I'm actively trying to get better at Lis so that I can counter the air transports that are untouchable otherwise and I waste so much time trying to down them. Even with the maneuverability buff I miss plenty and I see others miss plenty as well. Good transport drivers (particularly the Hind) have gotten good at dodging them, at least good enough to only take 2-3 missiles until they fly off and heal (since it takes like 4 TGM to take one down). Especially since it does less to air than the recoilless and can't benefit from target-locks, I think it serves well to fulfill 1/2 of the task of taking down air transports but struggles to solo them (which is fair). I can't recall often seeing just multiple Lis-es locking down air all match. I thought it's a pretty fair distribution, but this is just my experience. Have you seen other times Lis seemed overpowered when others used them?

@TheLegendOfAbeWI think you're missing the point completely, because nowhere did I mention air transports. Of course you're not going to take out air transports so easily with the Lis rocket. Air transports have been overpowered in the health department for a long time.
Lis can still one-hit-kill all jet fighters and attack helicopters. That's not a problem in itself -- but it is when the game's class/specialist balance is so whacked that Lis becomes overrepresented in the Engineer department.- 3 years ago
@AnarchiesxAh, my apologies, I guess I've just been too distracted by the transports lately to care about anything else. Other air vehicles are definitely quite exposed when vulnerable to a single shot, but I think any large debuffs to Lis' rocket would make air transports even more difficult to take down. Do you think it would be a good solution to increase the health of other air vehicles or reduce the damage of Lis' rocket to them in particular so that they could take only about 2/3 health damage from one?

@TheLegendOfAbeWI don't think you have to mess with the rocket damage at all. Lis rockets should one-shot most air vehicles to reward skill. I certainly don't think they needed to buff its range, however. That was incredibly stupid, so now Lis can hit most air vehicles when she's across the freakin' map.
I think sensible nerfs are the following: 1) reduce its flight time, maybe not down to 450m where it was, but it needs to be lower than 750m currently; 2) decrease carrying capacity from 2 to 1, as this will lower the number of Lis rockets coming at vehicles every minute. Her launcher ability is on a cooldown anyways, so it just doesn't make sense why she needs to have the ability to shoot two rockets so quickly. This would also stop her from being so oppressive against ground vehicles. She is meant to harass them, not single-handedly destroy them so often.
Finally, buff Boris and Crawford. People are picking Lis because she's the obvious choice to play when engineer. Both Boris and Crawford are terrible right now and there's no reason to pick them over Lis. Making them more attractive picks would also decrease the total number of Lis rockets flying. As for air transports, I've always felt they're too tanky. Period. Reduce their HP. By how much, I dunno. Don't want their HP lowered too bad or else they won't be worth picking. They are transports and are meant to be just a little tanky so they can get soldiers to the objective OK, but they're just too tanky right now. In fact, I'm sure the air transport HP is more overpowered right now with more players having ready access to the repair tool.
edit: range is 600m, not 750m.

That is only a weird balance inside the class.
I always choose Lis, because she is the coolest character model in the class, with the least stupid gadget. And I am tiering up my Repair Tool anyway.
I may switch to one of the other fools, when I feel the need to tier up my R5 or FXM.
