@cso7777 I've noticed two types of Mackay players. One is a really good player who uses Mackay to get around the map quicker, but doesn't really need Mackay to get kills. The other is a not so good player who needs to get to height to shoot down on unsuspecting players to get kills.
In TDM, this becomes really obvious. For example, almost every game of TDM on Kaleidoscope has two buddies rocking Mackay on top of the main building as soon as the match begins, head glitching and shooting down on spawning players around the main building. These are the guys who have trouble killing without using Mackay as it is really, really unnatural in any game to have to constantly look up towards the sky to impossible to reach positions to see if a Mackay is camping in positions that are not possible in a real battlefield of any type...
So personally I don't mind the Mackay player who don't camp. It is the "Camping Mackay" that are making the game seem like a mutant Fortnite/Apex/TitanFall 2 Battle Royale game.
The irony is the Pathfinder in Apex is basically Mackay dressed in a Battlefield uniform. It would be more fair if Mackay lost the grapple hook and was given the Pathfinder ultimate ability "Zipline Gun". Or at the very least increase the grapple hook cooldown more to match the much higher Apex cooldown...
