@RaginSamNot really. Trying to hit macay during ADAD spam is quite literally impossible.
Same goes for CoD sliding and slide canceling. You sprint - slide - press jump and you come in flying at mach 1 around the corner and kill anyone unlucky enough to be waiting for you there
This doesn't play like COD at all. Yes, you can slide, but it's definitely not like COD whatsoever. There's always a trade off with sliding. Usually you have to over expose yourself to push someone with it. You're giving up cover (risk) to take someone off guard (reward). It also adds depth to the game play. In BF4 everyone just constantly jumped around. That was the only move available. I much prefer having the ability to slide to push an enemy and it looks better then everyone jumping all the time.
When you see people moving faster than they should be, that's the net-coding and not movement abilities. It was really bad during the Beta. People moved insanely fast and had nothing to do with the base movement speed. I still see this with some individual players. It's packet loss or bad internet and then how the server handles that.
I believe you're on console or play with a controller? Everyone wants to take away all the advantages MnK has naturally and "level" the playing field. Battlefield has always been pretty twitchy. It's Not "AD" spam, it's called having good movement mechanics. There's so much depth and possible skill that goes into strafing. There's mixing in crouching while strafing, circle strafing, being unpredictable with your timing, baiting shots, mirroring the enemies movement to line up your shots. So let's handicap MnK, but give controllers all sorts of aim assist? That still doesn't sit right with me.
I just don't get this lets remove all movement camp. You guys really want everyone to be slow walking turrets? At that point might as well play a turn based game, cards, or maybe chess. Movement is a huge part of the equation for Shooters. It doesn't have to be obnoxious, and I'd argue BF2042 is pretty tame overall. I think the changes are perfect. Tone down Mackay just a touch and bring everyone else up so there's less of a gap. It'll feel so much better playing other characters now.

I'm not sure that I agree with everything having to be equal. We have Specialist with different abilities. I'm personally okay with them ditching that whole concept, but I do like being able to build or use a character that suits the way I want to play though.
I do think the overall strafe speed is a little slow and I'm excited to see a slight global increase to all the Specialist.
It was a perk in BFV that was available to any class, but not everyone used it. No one complained about it either. I'm just always in favor of having interesting movement mechanics that add depth and make the game feel better to play.
