I mean since we aren't probably getting any more old maps for Portal would you pay for a map pack for Portal if they offered it? Say maybe $20 for 4 or 5 maps that could only be played in Portal?They could even bring in another studio to port the maps over.

@NazT55 I'm with ya 100%, they really need MUCH more content for Portal.BF2, and/or BF2142 content would be Awesome!

They can afford to make new maps, it's not like some small indie developer scraping by.

@ElliotLH That could be part of the map pack. Say they release a BF2 content package for Portal which would basically include maps and weapons and such.

@UP_HawxxeyeI would welcome the return of the Premium Pass I feel I got my value out of the 4 new maps every 3 months.

No.
They did this whole "live service funded by battlepass and cosmetics" instead of the premium model. They can afford to make new maps, it's not like some small indie developer scraping by.

@NazT55 I'm not too sure. On one hand I can see myself paying for a map pack, but on the otherI don't really play much of Portal.

@ElliotLH I don't play it much myself only because of the lack of maps. If they added older maps from BF2 or 2142 I would probably play it more.

@NazT55 Actually, now you mention it, if certain maps from BF1 were added then I might play it more. Obviously that's unlikely to happen as they'd also need to add the weapons (or we'd just have to use the guns we have now).

@NazT55 Would need to be a good number of maps, ore than 4 certainly as they’re not new, and they’d be limited to Portal so 6+ easy if they want my $20. Now all new maps, playable in AOW and portal, that I’d pay for.

If they would realize -- most likely they already did -- that their take on a live service does not fly and that 'Premium' was better for their player base and therefore return to the old model, then yes.

In that case they should make the maps free for Gold and Ultimate owners and only charge the remaining players (maybe an additional 10USD/EUR for owners of the Gold edition as this was cheaper than Premium before IIRC).

Is this a realistic scenario for this iteration? I HIGHLY doubt that. But maybe they can return to this model for the next installment.
