It seems like a lot of us are dissatisfied after about two hours of trying to like it. The weapons are dull. The base ge is nerfed beyond BF1 and BF5. Because there are no classes the games are unbalanced. Too many people with Recoiled rifles and Sniper Rifles. One of the worst parts is that the AI generic soldiers look way better than the specialists. They actually look the part.
Even Portal is underwhelming. They handcuffed it bad. Can have more than 60 AI per a team. Can't mix weapon and vehicles between eras.
I hope EA/Dice/Ripple fix this game fast. They were crooked out the gate again. The weapons and vehicles are underwhelming. They should have researched emerging military tech and doctrine to be informed in the creative design. It just seems lazy and rushed.
Good news is, Ghost Recon just released a new update that has longtime GR fans hoping for a better future for that franchise. Good games like Hell Let Loose with customer savvy devs deserve my time and money.

Yeah—really trying to like the game, but it’s just disappointing. I can understand bugs, especially in the beginning—seems like par for the course these days. It’s sprawling and looks pretty great, but it seems to be big for the sake of being big or just to say ‘hey we can fit more people on a map than the other guys’—problem is everything is so desolate and buildings/structures seem like models. Takes a lot out away from the atmosphere when every building has zero character
That sums up exactly how I felt about the maps. They lacked character / atmosphere and as you said they looked like models.

Yep—how come a dystopian environment is so neat and tidy—and lacking anything almost everywhere? Probably so the feat of the highest amount of players could be achieved, even at the cost of making it a sort of realistic battlefield. And I dunno—maybe tornados 🙄
- 4 years ago@hairy1611 haha it actually does look fairly clean. They have street sweepers and a cleaning crew to pick up debris in the end of the world. God bless those people lol.

@ghinavirus @RayD_O1 @FatherDed Seriously though — I really want to like it but I think ‘empty’ is the best way I can describe the game—not just the streets devoid of signs of ever having life or trash or debris, or buildings devoid of paper or chairs or office equipment—it’s the gameplay itself. Really feels like a pretty, big, empty skin of a gutted experience. I hope it gets better
