Radioactive, room-clearing answer: SBMM.
SBMM is basicaly cancer to a game like this, nobody want to wait a half an hour for a match

How is it cancer for this game? I see so many people complain about it, but the majority of people don't seem to understand how it works, nor it's purpose.
SBMM simply takes all the different players that have entered a match, and make sure the teams are somewhat balanced. That's all it does. One sided matches are incredibly boring, on either the winning or losing side. I want matches to be somewhat close.
SBMM is essential for online multiplayer games. So it's not a matter if it should be in the game or not, but rather how it's tuned. Like all things in games, it's a balancing act.

That's not how it works though. SBMM more than likely exists in some capacity in the game to at least try and balance teams and get things sorted quickly. It just wouldnt be super duper strict to avoid having to lump every good player into a 64-128 person lobby. In BF it'd just keep teams relatively even and after matches take the data and allow team shuffles.
Thing is with how reliant the game is on everyone doing their part (as all team based games ultimately are) you cant just have a single guy hard carry the game so even good players are ultimately at the whim of the team.

You're missing the point there.
Chris_Hawkner and RaginSam highlighted its purpose and implementation better than I would.
(And it's not like waiting half an hour for a match is infrequent these days...)

Name one game in which SBMM is integrated and the community of said game thinks is a positive addition, everyone is complaining and it is for good reason, SBMM is for rank matches (which bf doesn't have) and i think is perfect to not have it.
Also most games with that on experience higher matchmaking times (and honestly i couldn't find on the internet a game that uses SBMM only using people already on the lobby) and although that is determined by your server and where you are i don't feel like waiting 5 minutes to be put on a 120 ping server.
if anything is a priority here is player retention and having an actual anti-cheat. tryhards and noobs are something that its always going to exist, and however the match ends my recommendation is to try and have fun (and i know thats difficult sometimes)
(Also why if the average k/d is 1-2, the anti-cheat doesn't instantly ban people with k/d´s of 4-6?)
If anything we should ask for something more adequate like (Level-based-match-making) (because for the unaware battlefield 2042 has a big cheating problem) and adding SBMM would not only make the qeue longer but also put alongside or against cheaters because how SBMM works (Using your stats from previous games)
Unbalanced teams are a big worry of most of people and im not against devs taking measures on the matter, i´m against bad ideas, and SBMM is one of them.
And yes i just bring up that made up thing, LBMM (which is exactly what the OP asks for), is simple and i think it would work, you are new to the game, you get games with people with similar levels, and if you are a level 400 you should have the knowledge to adapt to the match´s phase, (even my suggestion is worthless if the game has low player retention tho)
-thanks for that reply, it really made me investigate about SBMM and im a litte bit wiser on the matter now, even i could just reply "no" and then make a joke about your mother´s weight, i think i´m too old for that
xoxo
