Melee weapons tied to takedowns?!?

@carsono311 Personally like the idea, always unique.. however i really hope most of them still include taking dogtag's.. always satisfying.

I am not sure how I feel about specific takedowns tied to melee weapons though… I think it feels a bit too COD like, but I also have not really seen it yet.I wouldn't mind if 2042 kept the same system as previous games (Blade/Club/Heavy)

@TTZ_Dipsy I hated that system. I want the BF4 system back where the only difference is a skin on the knife not weapon types. The melee in 1/5 felt so inconsistent compared to older titles.
- @carsono311 I don't mind/care too much, if it is going to be in third person anyway, as long as it is not a 15 second sequence of killer clown from outer space dropping in and taking the guy out.

@kregora I actually think it is a weapon as well... and yes, in Battlefield 2042 there is a melee attack is key press vs. melee takedown being a key hold.
I actually do not mind that gameplay / behavior, since it has separated those functions and the melee takedown range seems to be greatly reduced compared to recent games.
- @carsono311 It does look likely since it's not described as being just a weapon, and it'll be interesting to find out for definite.
Wouldn't mind that Dr. Hakim weapon charm Apex is getting either...
